| I am a bit of a stats freak, and do on occasions enjoy what Phil Clarke brings to the table.
The margin-meter has been implimented in the completely wrong way! It doesn't predict the result, as they keep saying. It never was going to, and it's quite ridiculous that they keep saying it will. The fact that they keep selling it this way means that people have gotten the completely wrong end of the stick and are (rightly) ridiculing it.
The margin-meter should basically just give you a snap shot of who has the momentum and what the final outcome would be like if they keep it up. The fact that they keep saying "it is predicting this to happen" means that they are just setting themselves up to fail 99/100, because we all know that the momentum changes throughout a game. The fact that on top of that they keep making such a big deal about it means that they are highlighting the fact that they are setting themselves up to fail!
Stats are only useful to those that understand them. Phil Clarke apparently doesn't understand all of them. Eddie and Stevo don't have a clue.

| Just backs up that majority of stats are totally pointless. Better game than i expected though. Thought Amor and Aiton looked really good for the Wildcats as did Mathers after his mare for the 1st try.

| I didnt watch the game live, but was following on Twitter. I could work out what it was, then I watched the re-run later..........OH DEAR!!......nearly as bad as the Power Play idea in the Aussie game this morning.

| .....and then on top of that, whats the idea of interviewing players on the pitch between tries? It felt awkward.
We already have one of the most entertaining, exciting and brutal products in sport, why do they feel the need to mess about with it in every off-season?

Stats are only useful if used right.
I wouldn't say the majority of them are pointless.

| Did anyone else notice, at the start of Fridays game, they had the name of the player tackled next to the metres gained. They kept getting it wrong and it wasn't used at all in tonights

I've noticed at the masters tennis they sometimes mic up a player and talk to him between points(not all btw). It was rather insightful but I'm not sure if RL is ready for this just yet.

Correct. As evidenced by John Kear, when he commented that Wakey were building momentum and would score on the next set. They duly obliged.

I didn't watch either game this weekend in full, did this really happen?
If so, I'd be going mental as a coach and telling Sky to keep the f**k away from my players when they've got a game to keep focussed on.

It really did!! Joey Johns was running on the pitch with his mic every time a conversation was being taken.
A rugby field should be a sacred place while the game is on. The only chat should be between players and the training staff.

Must have realised it's a stupid idea because they didn't do it once during the Salford-Cas game. If they did I must have missed it.
