What's your point? Heighington's mother is English so he's half English, and Jack Reed was born here so theyre ok.

| So a person can never move to a different country, take on that countrys values and way of life, decide he/she wants to be from that country and feel that nationality?
He has to born here or have one parent from the place?

| Btw I don't think Chase should play for England, because it's his second choice the same as Heighington.

Well i do. Hes played the majority of his pro career here, has just signed a long term contract which shows hes no interest in going home anytime soon and he wants to play for us so i say let him.

| That's fine Seb, I agree with your points why he should be able to but like I say the fact he wanted to play for NZ but was deemed, like Heighington for aus, not good enough means he shouldn't get his second choice.

Not blaming you here but theres plenty complaining saying what about Brough but they seem to be conveniently forgetting that he represented Scotland previously.
As for Chase hes effectively turned his back on New Zealand for the rest of his career so lets get behind him i say.

| If he performs well enough for England he can go back to NZ, I think it's every 2 seasons a player can change his alligence.
But like you say it's done now, I still wouldn't have picked him at 7.

Fair point...but
considering that every single rugby league international side on the planet bar Australia uses players who aren't good enough to play for the country of their birth.
It's like saying Brough shouldn't be allowed to play for england because he played for scotland.
The way I see it is RL internationally is already flawed. If Chase, Reed & Heighinton playing for england makes us better then great.
I've excepted Pieterson, Prior, Struass & Trott for england cricket so I would be a hippocrate if I didn't except this

I think it is sometimes irrelevant these days who is named at 6 or 7.
Chase will play like he does for cas, on the edges. Sinfield will probably take first receiver. The fact one is named at 6 and one at 7 is largely redundant, in my opinion of course

| Just to be completely off topic, well done to Yeamo and Briscoe for getting their starts, hope they both go well, especially Yeamo as its taken him a while to get his place in the side back!
Well done boys, do F.C proud!

I know ideally we don't want players ever changing alligence but the smaller nations need this rule if they are ever going to attract decent players

Well it is if they don't play the rolls on their shirts.
Sinfield isn't quick enough to play 7 and Chase doesn't have the organising skills or kicking game to.
