Not sure on thos signing a good player if fit, bit has struggled the last 2 season with injuries.
If fit a much better player than Phelps, but getting him 100% might be a problem.
3 years seems a long time for an injury prone 30 year old, but thats the price you will now have to pay to get decent NRL players.
On a postitve note we need a FB and have signed a first choice FB from one of the better NRL teams.
Let hope he can stay fit and get back to his form a couple of years ago.

whats wrong with phelps??
in my eyes hes 1 of the best attacking full backs we have had for a long time and not doing a bad job in defense hes a much better option having been 26

Completely underwhelmed if true. I know he is a quality player but unless he is coming cheap and non-quota which I doubt. A 30 year old FB on a 3 year deal when we have already have Phelps who is younger, most probably cheaper and getting better as the season progresses, just appears to be a signing for the sake of a signing. I hope my doubts are proved wrong and it proves to be an another good move by club.
As with any player who puts on the FC jersey I will support them 100% and wish them well, welcome to FC Mr McKinnon

A couple of years ago Wade was an outstanding player, a season or so out with injuries set him back but he came back a couple of years ago with NZW and then moved to Wests. Assuming his injuries are behind him he is an exciting fullback.
With regards to Phelps, not been that impressed with him so far tbh.

Not convinced he'll offer enough over what phelps does to justify the risk of a 3 year contract to an injury prone 31 year old. I hope he isn't costing significantly more than phelps would. |
