You are probably right about Horne being our 6 but I am just speculating really. I think it would be easier to sign a 6 than a 7.

The thing is to bring in the amount of player I am suggesting will take money and we could not afford Horne too, unless he takes a pay cut on a one year deal?

We need 5 players on my list and would have the money from Phelps, Lauaki, Fitz, Dowes and Washbrook. Only Fitz and Lauaki will be on decent cash.

Our HB's or lack of them is our main problem.If we can't sign a new 6 AND 7 for next season, we'll be as far behind as we are this season.

Not seen much evidence of Phelps being that great in attack so far, Tansey looked much more dangerous imo. Plus not convinced he is worth a quota place, although it's still too early to judge him.

Gleeson for centre for sure, really hope we get him.

Phelps showing good improvement every week IMO, looking safer under high balls and running it back well. Also joining the attacking line a lot more since his comfort grows with the players and plays.

Good point on Newton though.

As East Hull FC fan said, maybe Horne will be given the 6 shirt again with Obst off the bench as hooker and a new SH brought in so maybe Newton won't get a chance next season?

Maybe so, and the more likely option IMO. By all accounts he's going well though, should be one the club should be thinking about.
