Myself, BB and east hull FC fan have been flying the optimistc flag high for a while now!

It does beg a few questions though:

1) Do we get mor injuries than any other side?
2) If we do, is there something wrong with our training/conditioning approach?
3) If we do medical assessments prior to making signings, are they rigorous enough?

we have suffered with injuries for too long now for it to be chance in my opinion, we're failing to do something, which we need to identify and fix.

I had a case of deja vu for a minute as i'm sure i've read similar threads on here at the start of the 2006,2007,2008,2009 and 2010 seasons?

2006? When we finished 2nd and got to the Grand Final?
2007? Finished 4th
2008? Final of CC, granted it was the only good thing of the season!

i know what you mean and there has been a diary full of them however if you look at the injuries on the whole it is my opinion we have simply ridden the crest of a very bad luck wave thats all, many of them such as SL etc were simply not anything the club could have avoided, few if any are picked up in training scenarios and also RH is a bundle of bad luck stories isnt he??
RW injuries are breaks which we cant avoid and so on and so forth ..
I think the conditioning and regime on the training paddock is as good as anywhere and be assured RA does his homework and knows his stuff so I can see your point but dont think its anything the club do wrong ..

we have been unlucky that is for sure, let hope it changes this year

Or we just sign players more prone to injuries?

It does seem that way huh, however the likes of RW, RH have been with us a long time and our pre medicals are exemplary , i think it is just bad luck

Over the past 3 years neither have and our pre medical wasn't that hot with Dykes.

Both O'meley and Long suffered from them before joint us. I am not faulting their signings mind.

Definately not optimistic, however i do go into the new season full of hope, just like i do every season. You never know us doubting Thomas's could be proven wrong.



Always been the type to expect nothing and then when something does happen it is all the sweeter

I just hope that by the time I get back to England (July, in time for Wigan at the KC) we are in the play-offs and hopefully still in the CC!

Hopefully not too much to ask?!
