I did say it's a none story all I said was I can see it happening, based on our recruitment/retainments in the past, in my opinion if Long said he wanted to carry on I think he would get an extension, as I say it's just a feeling feel free to dig this thread up if again if I'm proved incorrect.

Back to your point, i think our recruitment has been good since Agar has been in charge. I think we will get more games out of Long next year but we won't extend his contract... IMO

Also, i won't need to dig up your posts for future arguments, we've got Mrs B for that!!

How does that encourage debate? It's nothing to do with our half back for 2012.

On topic, how great would it be if Long played 80% of games next season? people sneer sarcastically about his supposed influence on the training pitch, but he's a great trainer by all accounts and our go-to player who makes all the calls when available. If the only thing he brought was some consistent shape to our attack, that would still be a step on from this season. I wish Long an injury-free season, just the odd "tweak" to give him a rest before important cup games.

Wouldn't it be also great if Horne starts the season he has done the last two, then learns to control his diabetes?

I hope we are exploring all options home and abroad before we commit to the re-signing of both Sean and Rich. 2012 is an opportunity to free some salary and finally sort our half back combination nightmare of the past 4 years. Hopefully the club are in the hunt for then NOW
