Looking at Hudds run in and the overall quality of Leeds we will probs finish 6th. Those 2 points could actually be the difference of a home tie against 7th rather than the opposite. How's that for positive spinicon_smile.gif

And yet we're sat in 4th having just opened up a further 1 point gap between us and two of the teams chasing from below. One of which at least was predicted to finish above us this season. Not bad for a side that isn't even good.

We're a side that still needs work, but to suggest that we aren't any good at all is just plain daft given our league position.

It was a poor display and a disappointing response to the Huddersfield defeat.

It's certainly going to be tough for us to make 4th now. Warrington can do us a favour against Leeds tomorrow as can Saints the week after.

I'd be happy with 5th given the last two seasons.

Never thought Cats would be easy with a lot of big guns back and we did well to keep them to one try. Our top 2 forwards were out so our forwards could not dominate theirs. Lauaki continues to disappoint me but he had a much better 2nd half. Whatever our shortcomings you cannot fault our effort. This was a game we would definitely have lost the last 2 seasons. Big blow losing Longy but we must regroup and get on with it.

That's how a league works. Currently we are the 4th best team in the league using the only definition that matters - our position, determined by the number of points we have relative to the other teams. You can make up some other more subjective form of measurement if you like, but unless you convince the RFL to adopt it I don't really see the point.

I don't expect us to finish in 4th, particularly with the injury to long, but all this downplaying of our current position is - IMO - both laughable and somewhat pathetic.
