With a decent season this year in both comps , Possibly an increase in attendance and the Directors now paid up. Our profits for this season should make pretty good reading.

I always had a little hope that whilst we owed the directors ££ then they would steer the ship right to preserve their own ££ . Now they are all paid up let's get a share option going for 49% of the Club so we can all have a say and keep the same conservative lid on the finances. We must always budget for worst case and never , ever try and keep up with our near bankrupt neighbours. ' NO return to Boom and Bust politics'

Big raps to the shareholders too who stuck their hands in their pockets to keep us afloat and who didn't walk away when the going was tough. Glad they've had their money back and hope they stick around

The good news keeps flowing from the club, we have all had our digs at Rule & Co but credit to them for making us one of if not the most stable club financially in the super league. We have continued to post profits even in dire times on the pitch, considering during this time we have been whittling our debt down this is a fantastic achievment.

Reckon there are a lot of clubs out there who would gladly swap with us.

Hull also report having 'fixed assets' of more than £1.3m in their accounts – including £980,000 worth of players, which are counted as 'intangible fixed assets'. The players are included as assets despite club auditors advising against it, as it is not in accordance with financial reporting standards.

Despite this, finance director Tony Sutton insists in his view it is only right they be included, and he stressed their inclusion has no impact on the profits.

He explained: "Everything we do links back to how those players play on the pitch, so they are, in a true sense, an asset."
