been told today,that we are trying to off load domic off the quota to bring in kimmorley.anybody else heard the same.

havent heard it, but would be a gamble worth taking. Domic tries hard and is a good player, but is retiring at the end of the year anyway...

and whilst Kimmorley has had a couple of poor seasons, if Hull could even get him to 75% of his best, he'd be deadly in superleague.

a lot of if buts and maybes about that rumour though, it'd require Domic to be released (and paid off) and obviously Kimmorley would need releasing early, then theres the salary cap etc

That is what we are really missing, a player who can lead the team around the park, kick into space, maybe even kick a 40/20. R Horne will never be a scrum half as long as he wears rugby boots, oh how Peter Sharp must be regretting sending Danny Brough down the M62.

Been discussed many times on here previously but yeah how good would it be if we could pluck a Dobson or similar out of the NRL. I know we havent got any quota places left but the way i see it we've got three hookers and we only need two so one of them could be sacrifised, maybe not a bad idea on this seasons form.

Danny Brough is just a boot and a decent defender. He is not what we need.

as i said on another thread couple of days ago, i wonder if Denis Moran could be prised away from Widnes. He was excellent against Leigh. I know they are a division below, but he was one of super leagues top performers for 2 years at Quins. he has a good kicking game, and his distribution is good. also he doesnt rely on other players making things happen for him. IMO he is what a good scrum half should be.

Im going to copy and paste my opinion on DB and Deacon and save it in a Word file, and copy it back into these weekly "we need a Scrum Half" threads.

It will save me do much time.
