| I still don't think we need another backrower, but if a player as good as Manu becomes available at his age you have to take it.

| Quote: Raggytash "These are the backup hookers from the teams that finished above us. Out of interest, which ones would people on here be happy with if they signed for us? I shouldn't really include Wigan or Saints, because neither operate with a backup hooker and don't really spell their hookers. Clearly Cunningham and Wane are just as woeful coaches as Radford.
Leeds - Rob Burrow
Saints - No-one/Matty Fozard
Wigan - Sam Powell
Huddersfield - Kruise Leeming
Wire - Brad Dwyer
Castleford - Paul McShane, but probably Milner soon.
I think Houghton's fatigue in games is massively over exaggerated, and I wouldn't want a large chunk of cap taken up with a reserve hooker that might play 20 minutes a game. I'd have liked to have kept Cunningham, but in his absence I'd be quite happy with a hooker from the youth team, or one of our junior halves to cover the position.'"
Great post.

| On the hooking position I'd put Abdul on the bench to cover hooker and the backrow over Washbrook.

It would be, but slightly un-necessary given out complete imbalance in other areas.
Props:
Taylor
Watts
Green
Bowden
Thompson
Ellis
BTW
2nd Row
Minichiello
Whiting
Manu
Pritchard
Hadley
Turgut
Loose Man
Westerman
Abdull
Now to me, the signing of Manu might mean the end to Westerman at Hull. I think we may end up with Manu/Pritchard as the 13.

| Reading his diary Wilf seems pretty confident the back rower signing is Manu. Radford mentioned that although primarily a second rower he can play in the Middle. I have not seem him play. What do the NRL watchers think of him?

Props
If Ellis moves to prop which is likely we need another 2nd row. Whiting, Hadley aren't good enough and bring no impact at all. Turgut is some way away from been a SL 2nd row.
Ellis
Houghton
Watts
Pritchard
Mini
Westerman
Washbrook
Manu
Thompson
Taylor
That looks a great pack with impact coming off the bench baring Washbrook.

Very very very good. If it is him then I think the pack next year will certainly take us forwards. Has Washbrook signed I haven't seen it anywhere! One thing is certain our ball players will have few very good runners to hit. I know we've heard it year on year but the squad is shaping up really well for next season.

| The Houghton to Leeds rumour just won't go away. A mate was in Leeds on Friday night at a amateur game and everyone was talking like it was a done deal. Wonder if the club will let him go and for how much if it's true and if they have a replacement lined up.

Personally would be very disappointed if true, top player, top pro.

Me too to be honest. Whilst his distribution could be better he a very good all round hooker. His kicking game from dummy half in particular will be missed.
