There's a Wetherspoons in city centre with a walk straight down Analby Road to the stadium.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?:

I'm sure everyone on here keeps an eye on the BBC News Business Section.
If not, rlthis itemrl is a worth a read.

Great occasion for the city of Hull today, despite a one-sided 2nd half.

2nd highest RL crowd at the KC (after GB-Australia in 2005) and great to see so many people travelling from out of town. There also seemed to be a lot of students there (I make that assumption based on their age and lack of Northern accents) so you hope the games attracted some new fans along the way.

It was an enjoyable occasion and I was glad to be there but in all honesty my heart wasn't really in it after the news about Prekkie.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason. -[i:1c45x4hd]Emmitt Smith[/i:1c45x4hd]:

the way Burrow was left on the floor for so long that a cameraman eventually dropped his kit and went and sat with him is absolutely disgusting.

Thought it was going to be a very close game up until HT what ever Steve Mac said to them worked because they was white hot for a good quarter of an hour. Good attendance 25114. Atleast our ground attracts fans unlike caravan park.

That crowd just reinforces the point that a quarter final should have been played at the KC.I think the RFL assumed that Wales would have won their group and thats why Wrexham got a game.Even it is full for Aus v USA its only going to be a 15.500 attendance

A few negative comments about the traffic and getting out of the car park on the virtual terrace, and its hard not to disagree. Surely it can't be hard to have the Police controlling the traffic lights on a big event like that. Blocking off the 'turn right' section of road on Spring Bank West near Walton Street would be another easy way to keep traffic flowing.

Warringtons only holds 15000, if they end up with Samoa v Fiji they've got the game of the round.

As an Hull fan I am a bit embarrassed by that last comment we held an England game so I am sure plenty of rovers fans attended the game.

Why can't people be happy with what they've got?!

People were whinging that we didn't get a big game at the KC despite the fact that the only three bigger games we could have had in the tournament (the opener, the semis and the final) are all in stadia that are at least three times the size of ours?

Now we should have more games! The city of Hull got three World Cup games (more than any other city). Personally, I think the fact that there were two games at CP are what made the crowds smaller. A lot of people went to one or the other. I reckon it'd have sold out had it been the one game, and if KC had two games then I reckon the same issues would occur there (people picking and choosing).

France vs PNG should have been in Toulouse.
