My concern being that tactically, Crookes vs. Richards, in respect of the attacking cross field kick, is the RL equivalent of putting Dot from Eastenders in the ring with Mike Tyson. A complete mismatch that I think would cost us dear. So for that reason alone, I would stick Whiting on the wing for the next two and then bring Crookes in to finish the season (unless we play Wigan again of course).'"

I really hope the lad is ok and pulls through in time for Wembley. He deserves his place and deserves a huge amount of credit, along with Crooks for the way Hull have kept their season on track when injuries were really damaging you. The way those two kids have played has not only been great for Hull but it's refreshing for the whole league and it gives you hope as a British rugby league fan that we'll ride through this rough patch the game is experiencing because we will always produce these cracking youngsters.
Fingers crossed for him (I'd say and Crooks but I believe he's already ruled out).

Thanks, a very sporting post.
Crooks may return for the playoffs (assuming we make them) but will miss Wembley which is a great shame. Hopefully we will get some good news on Lineham.
Neither were first choice at the start of the year but both played a big part in getting us to Wembley. Both have massive futures in the game, though. |
