| Quote: His Bobness "Commiserations, those of us who have supported either team for any length of time know the feeling of a derby defeat.
Thought Hull were very intense...for the first minute and a half and then again after you went down to 12 men. Thought Aaron Heremaia made a difference when he came on who on earth decided to let him go to Widnes?
In between you were outclassed by a superior team. I was a bit angry with Rovers today for giving you a sniff in a game in which you really should have been hammered. The video ref prevented a hammering last time but Rovers themselves did their best to keep you in it on this occasion. In the end the better team by far won on both occasions.
Mickey Paea what has happened to him?
Who knows how the season will pan out from here but you have already had a glut of home fixtures and face a run of away games having still not won a single game away all season.
Back to today let's not be having the usual 'Rovers wanted it more' excuse. The difference today was in quality and there was a gulf. Of course it does help to have a proper coach preparing the team and right now I don't think you have one.
When Adam Pearson came in he had absolutely the right idea in appointing a man with massive RL experience to run things for him. Right idea but wrong man in McRae after his failure at South Sydney & Salford and his subsequent health issues.
So Pearson then decides he will run things himself and appoints Radford on a hunch. Dear oh dear.
Time for Pearson to step back appoint Brian Noble to oversee all rugby matters and restrict himself to the one thing he is good at...providing the money. Although as we all know he isn't in the same league as Koucash and one wonders how long he will be willing to finance the serial failure that is Hull FC.'"
Really?
I saw 2 pretty average teams out there today who will not bother the big boys come play off time.
I understand the mentality of a small time club looking at short term boosts result wise but but lets be honest neither team is bothering the end of season play off shake up - country mile away from ruling the roost 80s style.

I'm sure it's been mentioned - cba to look back in the thread - but Silverwood was the guy who put Bowen on report early in the year for a disgraceful high tackle on (Hardaker I think) which was worse than today's incident. He was 5 yards away from Bowen but 'couldn't tell' about the contact despite it being crystal clear to every onlooker. Today he couldn't get in his pocket quick enough. I'm afraid there'll always be a theory about how some teams are refereed differently to others. The evidence is as plain as day to back it up.

Don't think it has been mentioned. Forgot all about that incident.
I have no problem with Crookes been sent off today as long as the reffing is consistent but it quite clearly isn't.

Absolutely the Bowen tackle was as cringeworthyly hard as they come - inevitable red card to most the viewers at the time.
Never underestimate a top 4 reffing decision with the World Club Challenge aroud the corner.
Dont get me wrong maybe Crookes should have seen red today but I have seen at least 4 similar calls which got nowt this year.

That's exactly how I felt a couple of years ago at the magic weekend. Dobson was sin binned for professional fould which was 100% correct. My issue is that it happens in a lot of games and the punishment isn't the same. Totally 100% agree with you!

I agree two average teams but I will enjoy another derby win, despite our small club mentality.
Oh and best wishes at Leeds...and your other raft of away fixtures!
We might both be off the pace but the sweet smell of derby victory dulls the pain

What a boost it must be for Adam Pearson to see so many Hull fans like yourself still in denial.
We've a way to go yes I will admit that but we have a clear direction and forward thinking under Craig Sandercock. You are directionless under a novice coach and waiting for another inevitable start all over again.
I'm right and even you deep down know I am right. Right now Rovers are in a much better place than you. It won't last forever but right now we are entering a period of Rovers domination.

| Yeamo did us proud today on a couple of occasions, thanks for that. Houghton IS a class act and the only only creative player in your line up. Red was deserved. I was sat in line with it at the stadium. Miller was lucky not to see yellow in the first half with his blatent high tackle. Your supporters behind the stands were pretty quiet, was expecting a little more chanting and banter. You did up your game when down to 12 men, isn't that often the way?

In your little summary on the Rovers board you just called our club "the scum of rugby league". Why shy away from that here?
