| Quote: Large Paws "And you do realise, that what Cooke wrote, is probably how the vast majority of FC fans feel about Radford's tenure at the club.
He brought success to the club, and he gave everything he could.
The fact he, in the end, wasn't up to taking it on further, doesn't alter that, or the way his friends and ex colleagues view him.
Those, who wanted him gone, have got their wish. Perhaps they should now move on.'"
I am very grateful for all Lee achieved for our club, the b2b Wembley wins will never be forgotten, I didn't want him gone as an individual, I did want rid of the matey culture he had encouraged and endorsed. We all move on, as I am sure Lee will move on and can always be proud and hold his head up high when walking down the street, he will always have my respect for what he has achieved.

Then, have the good grace to accept that, some, will write good things about him, because that's how they viewed him.

I do, as you should have the good grace to accept that I am as entitled to voice my opinion as anyone else.

I do, but, he's gone, and, in the end I was hoping he would.
So perhaps we should accept that those who are tasked with writing articles for the press, will probably write good things and not damning ones.
For now, we should all focus on getting through the next few weeks, and then hopefully finding the right person to take us forward.

as you say, we can all move on now. There are certainly more pressing issues in the world (sadly) right now.

| Interesting piece from Ellis and for me seems Radford had been a dead man walking rlread it hererl. Gives the picture of things not being right and the team from fractured.

Definitely time to move on even though it could be a long, long time before we get our hands on another piece of silverware.
Hopefully we might sneak something in the next 10/20 years if the rugby gods are shining on us.
We live in hope.

Are you being sarcastic or do you genuinely believe that without Radford at the helm we're doomed, cast aside into the RL wilderness, never to witness another final?

| With that right coach, this squad should win something over the next two years.

Exactly, as I've said on another thread somewhere a perfect example is St's, under Holbrook they were way ahead of any team and the epitome of consistency with low error and high completion rates playing attractive rugby. The exact same playing squad remains in place but a different Coach in Woolf, yet that exact same squad of players are not at the same levels as they were under Holbrook making much greater errors that they weren't before and an increase in their indiscipline.
Which goes to show that a good coach can improve a squad good or bad but a poor or average coach can make a good squad poorer.

I agree, to some extent. Though I am glad he got the reaction he did when he lifted that trophy in 2016

Correct, they shut him out after the Widnes game.
There were big characters in that squad who did his job for him.
I could of Coached those 2 seasons !
Radford should have gone at the end of last season. If not even the end of 2018 !
