It's Long's last season though so we shouldn't be worrying about that. Not ideal for the rest of this season maybe but the season would have to be pretty much a write-off for Agar to get the boot anyway.

If I'd put a laughing smiley would you still feel that way? My iPhone is selective as to when it shows me the smiley panel, no offence was intended.

| Quote: UllFC "Noble is out of work, and is IMO of the same caliber as Smith. Just look at what he did last year with a Crusaders side that started the season in a new town, with no proper pre-season. You can also argue that Wigan are reaping the rewards of the work he did with their young players.'"
We should bring noble in on a consultancy basis, then sidetrack agar into something other than head coach (I do think he has value at the club but not in a coaching capacity - probably scouting and youth development)

| Quote: dundeeblackandwhite ". That said the players made the mistakes today and not Agar, it suits people to blame Agar.
Sorry but I don't buy this..
Agar picks the team, lays out the tactics (badly), chooses the interchanges etc so yes it is 'blame agar' time again..
After match the fool said 2 mistakes cost us dearly.......
2!!!! How much of his own teams game did he watch??..'"
He's right though. The first mistake was giving him a contract and the second was extending his deal

I agree as a short term it would be an improvement, but the question would then be, should we get a new head coach, should we be looking in Australia instead? Maguire, Smith, Anderson and McLennan have dominated the trophy winning for the last 5 years. Although having said that, the last British coach to win a Grand Final, and the last British coach to win the CC (apart from Kear) was Noble.

I don't think the current regime have the nouse, the contacts in oz or the persuasive nature to bring an up and coming aussie coach across. If they went for the aussie option we'd end up with some 50 odd year old dinosaur like dennis moore or peter sharp. For me, noble is our best option to at least become a top 4 SL side

Noble's 49. I think you're right and Noble would be a pragmatic choice. Uneasy relationship with Long, but he'll be going in a few months. Did Noble release Tickle as well?

I don't know what he is doing atm. He took over from McRae at South Sydney Rabbitohs and did ok.
It was 'alleged' by some that he was set up to get the boot, so that a certain 'friend' could take over as head coach.
