Guess sometimes you get the refs calls, sometimes you don't.

Think you'll find that on balance Silverfish made many, many more decisions that favoured Rovers than FC. He continually penalised us for offences that Rovers got away with, allowing them the vast majority of the second half possession - most of it on our line. Not his fault that Rovers weren't good enough to capitalise on his favouritism.

exciting game but very error strewn (maybe causing some of the excitement) very happy with the win, but disappointed again by Long he gave away about 5 penalties alone, and his kicking was erratic.

bit performance by the pack though, O'Meley was superb, and that is the kind of performance I want to see by Berrigan each week, much more committed and involved.

The knock-on that never was in Cardiff? The forward pass that never was at CP last year? Rovers had multiple opportunities to score, set after set on Hull's line, but failed. I'd concentrate on blaming Murrell for the knock-on if I were you.

Who got man of the match?

Silverwood was a disgrace in the way he handled Lauaki and to a lesser extent O Meley. He clearly had preconceptions on both players. The penalty he gave against O Meley in the second half was a total joke. He failed to protect Lauaki to the extent that Agar had to do it for him.

A fantastic effort by all the boys. We could be so good and I believe injuries permitting we will get a lot better. Still needs far more polish and gel but there is nothing wrong with team spirit or ability. Christ knows how you lift yourself from that to play again in 3 days time. These guys earn their money in my opinion.

Poor quality game, rovers are the worst attacking side I've seen this season but great to win the 2 points

well defended hull (helped by a clueless halfback combo whose team were camped on our line), a good win and a very good effort, thoroughly deserved, shame we didnt get the rub of the green as kr were nearly handed the game on a plate by silverwood
