Will he be just a part of the coaching team or the actual assistant?

You've literally nothing positive or nice to say about anyone or anything.
Sad.

No idea Just guess work as he was rumoured to be an assistant like Thorman.
With Thorman off to Newcastle, I'd guess Gene will be coming in as assistant.
Smith has a relationship with him going back 20 years from their Hudds days. If Gene is up for coming back, he's someone Smith will trust.
Plus since Peters was announced Gene has been put in charge of the academy or reserve team (I think). Might see it as a demotion

You posted the above having a pop at some posters on here but you cant take it when someone has a pop at you
The fact that you say "we can have a good laugh at you" which if you didnt know is plural only confirms what i said about you and your emoji mates

Have to agree with Bonaire. Whatever folks opinions are including those that state “ they are in the know “.working for fc payroll dept., etc
One thing for certain is that only a handful of people at the club are in the know. It is very childlike when posters have to back up
their point of view with an emoji..

| Not childlike. The blokes funny. Very funny. He deserves a funny emoji for all the chuckling and laughter he emits from his rantings. Long live moanaire

In Aldi, Hessle, yesterday, I asked a certain Rovers ex player/water carrier, what he thought of Smith to FC, he said “it’s good for the club”. Asked him about Gene joining Smith and he said “yes as his assistant”. The water carrier and Gene are bezzies

Hard to say with his lack of pace full back isn't ideal for him, but with the discipline required and the fact that most teams' halfbacks initiate set plays and conduct the rhythm of attacks, his off the cuff, instinctive style did not work well for us when he did try 6. I still think centre, the position in which he was picked for England against NZ, was where he did a lot of good stuff and I may be wrong, but the England boss at the time was Smith, I think.

The game that sticks in my mind is this one (he came on as a sub I think) where he is definitely playing as one of the halfs.

I'd love to see him playing like this in the halfs for us next season.
