You’re right about Huddersfield they just play a really high % game, take very few risks with the ball and have incredible discipline.

I wouldn’t call Huddersfield dull to be fair, they may not be as free flowing like St’s but they are a decent side.
Watson has implemented structure and plays which they stick to and are now executing well, the stay in the grind relying on the systems/structures playing the percentages. Then take the opportunities they are given and and creating there own.
Thought Huddersfield were good value for their win today and embarrassed our dear neighbours in the process.

Agreed, at times they play safe, like the cup final which cost the the game, but when they spread it and offload they play some nice rugby and score some good trys.
Their 1, 6, 7 and 9 are excellent.

| Regardless, the last four fixtures I’ve attended against this team has been, dull, dull, dull, and we didn’t lose them all, it’s so boring, process process process, kill me now, and give me my cash back. All opinions of course, you pays your money as they say.

| Worth keeping an eye on Craig Lingsrd, maybe not as Head coach, but as an assistant, doing an unbelievable job with Batley since he took over.

| With regards to Bret Hodgson how many years has he got left on his contract at Hull FC?
I've just posted this on the Rhinos forum and wondered if any of you had heard any whispers?
Quote: The Biffs Back "Has anyone heard any whispers with regards to Tony Smith for next season?
I was speaking to an ex Hull FC player on holiday and he told me that he reckons that he'll be going there next season to replace Brett Hodgson?
I would love him back at Leeds in some coaching capacity as he would be the ideal man to assist Rohan and to also help sort our terrible disciplinary record out.'"
I won't be naming the former player as I was told in complete confidence, But he did say that I could post this rumour
What a smashing lad he was and plenty of banter was exchanged too, So perhaps this was one of his wind ups?

| I think its all the recent years of promise and then disappointment that is a big cause of the fans impatience.
I know rationally there are lots of good reasons for the current state of play but its hard to shake off the feeling of "Here we go again"

That for me is the nail on the head, for far too long we have been promised jam tomorrow and whilst nothing is ever guaranteed we have fallen short once too often and the seasons always seem to follow a similar pattern in which we fall away, so not sure its impatience as we've been waiting for long enough. I feel quite disillusioned not just with Hull FC but the whole game itself, now whether that's in part down to the lockdown (or the lack of the Dentist Diary these days ) etc I don't know but think the game has lost something along the way.
It always seems to be the same issues blighting us and then the same tired excuses as to why we are still way behind the likes of St's etc. Its not like we have expected things to change overnight but think enough years have gone by now to have moved forward but its deja vue and same old just a different season. The only real positive this season is the acquisition of Riding and Shenton who seem to be doing a great job with the young players youth side of things.
We still lack quality in the halves which seems to be an eternal issue for this club, don't appear to have much in the way of attacking structures and once again look bereft of any idea on how to get over the line when Connor isn't in the 17 other trying to barge over the line as we've lost the Sneyd kick to the corner option.
Maybe I'm just getting old and being pessimistic or both but the club in general just seems a mess as very little communication comes out of the club these days either which is something that needs rectifying as many fans feel cut off from the club nowadays.
