Nearly a costly error by Catalans to underestimate Rovers and then get reduced to 12 men for half the game. Taia, Dureau, Carney, Pomeroy all missing and big players for them.
What a cracking round though, hopefully will reignite the fans' romance with the cup. Compared to the borefest of Wigan-Leeds-Saints-Wire repetition in the SL play-offs every year, this has been top entertainment IMO.

Just a thought. Do you think for future reference it would be a good idea to take all the future quarter final matches and play them at one venue on the same day or over saturday and sunday. A bit like they do for magic weekend. This would create more of an interest with the fans and bring the love back for the cup. Maybe we might have full stadiums instead of 1/4 full if that

No, no and no.
Getting to Wembley should be for the final only. That should always be the deal. Having the FA Cup semis at Wembley has ruined the end of that comp for me. Plus would we even half fill it for two semis? Even as double header on the same day.
Keep Wembley for finals (or internationals) only.
So no to your suggestion. |
