Is this the same sports businessman that has bought a club then let total muppets run it for him then letting another total muppet continue as coach just cos hes hard and wont take any ? Lets not forget our wonderful owner getting done for getting pished then driving his car. But hes as honest as they come so all will be great come next year, or is it the year after, or the year after????

I know what our squad are on, I know our top 3 earners are Ellis, Miller, Paea, in that order I know their exact wage & I know Crooks is on more then that so stop thinking you know what you're on about.

I was the one who used the phrase "last chance saloon" and its obviously been taken out of context by certain people. At no point was I referring to AP but to the supporters who will walk if things don't improve quickly and dramatically. I am a great admirer of AP who I think has brought some fresh ideas to the club but who, like everyone on here, is also able to make mistakes. Following his "state of the nation" speech, I'll give him the leeway he's entitled to, but will reserve judgement on whether that will continue in the future if things don't get better.

The things AP is saying now were being said by Radford behind closed doors last season so yes I believe it was Radford that "advised" (there you go is that word less laughable for you?) AP in that regard. In fact I was told before Wembley that Radford was replacing Gentle at the end of that season.

Sorry - I know that's what you meant although it follows that if all the supporters bugger off then it's also the last chance saloon for AP. No supporters = no club I would imagine - a fairly simple equation. As I've said many times though the idea of some supporters leaving the fold when times are tough isn't a new one. It's always happened. Some fans have more of a stomach for tough times than others - it's peoples' own choice and whatever they decide doesn't make them better or worse than anyone else.

I can easily believe the last bit as one of the national dailies got hold of it before Wembley. Pearson isn't stupid and wouldn't have needed many reasons for getting rid knowing that the likes of Jacob Miller was one of our top earners and Joe Arundel was nicely secured on a highly lucrative 4 year deal. If Radford thought the same and did speak out he was right to do so - hardly back stabbing.

The papers said he would be sacked but not that Radford would be taking over IIRC. Radford didn't just bad mouth recruitment he was bad mouthing training sessions game plans etc etc which AP laterally also started doing. No way did AP wander down to the training ground one day and think to himself "that ex Aussie national Assistant coach doesn't know how to run a training session".

If the club eventually does get turned around then even more credit to Radford in that case. It would be hard to get away with bad mouthing a high quality setup - even to an owner new into the game. One man's backstabber is another man's whistle blower etc...

Well on the performance of the team so far the logical conclusion would be training and game plans have actually got worse and maybe the highly experienced ex National Assistant coach actually knew slightly more than the East Hull coach with less than a years professional coaching experience as an assistant. Maybe. Guess time will tell.

Probably not a good idea to embarrass the likes of Crooks and Miller at team meetings especially Benny Boy if you really want him to sign a new contract.

I'd like to here more details of these 'off field issues' before I take them seriously, obviously the club can't talk about McDonnel as he has legal action pending, but I struggle to think what issues could have caused a whole squad of approx 30 people to play so badly.

Our owner is not even meeting him and his agent to start extension talks till the middle of next week.
