as tiresome as constant looking on the bright side, we all want the same, and I fear we are not getting it anytime soon.

You really are an egg and chips man at times mate.
Everything in life isn't defined by choosing one side or the other.
Just because I choose not to join the beration gang doesn't mean I believe the garden is in full bloom.

I [iam[/i a bit tired of it all at the minute. Sick of new dawns breaking. Really thought it was cracked 2 seasons ago with Gentle, and I can't quite follow how we've ended up down this particular dead end.
I'm more worried now than I was during Agar's tenure. At least then we knew the root cause was the apathy towards our future thanks to Kath and Co., with their necks constantly craned down the M62 towards Leeds. I think Pearson made the right choice with Gentle, but not with McRae, but he's certainly chucked the baby out with the bathwater this season. I really think it's crisis time. Sorry. Because it's my belief Pearson has acted under poor advice and now it appears under no advice at all other than Radford's.
I'm not by nature a negative poster, and I even got excited about Radford's start to the season, I thought all was going to be well. But it was a false dawn and unless something is done PDQ we'll be in Agar territory again with no apparent end in sight.
So maybe I am being a bit tiresome. And maybe I am clutching at straws hoping AP was annoyed by Radford's surprising comment during the interview. Do I think it's a smoking gun? No, I think Pearson will hang onto Radford. I merely think he will have been angry at what was said, and in the current climate that won't harm and maybe it's planted a seed.

If it's any consolation Wormy, and if anyone can be @rsed to trawl this forum, I was probably the most vehement poster against the McRae appointment when it was initially announced.
That as well as telling everybody who cared to listen that our former Chief Executive was a complete t0sspot and look how all that ended in tears!

You were not the only one who tried to expose the previous administration for who they were.

It's just so frustrating when you can see what's wrong looking in but not being able to influence anything. You can see the mistakes happening in front of your nose but no matter how hard you yell nobody listens. Like when Radford's name was mooted and there was collective screech of NOOO from all sides to no avail. Or when Sharp went and Kear. And when Agar got his contract extension on April Fools' day.
It's like one of those nighmares where you're in a room and no-one can see or hear you, or you're running really fast and your feet get heavier and heavier like lead.

As long as you have fishnets on above them lead feet.
You'll do for me.

| Surely all radford is saying is he has £400k of salary cap tied up in players either no longer with us (carvell, pitts, arundel) and players he isn't considering (miller, ?) . Hardly a bl00dy conspiracy and confirmation of what I was told a long time ago about salaries paid to pitts, arundell and miller.
I do think there's a bit of kidology as I'm pretty sure we farmed them out so we could use their cap space for others

I thought the same. We as a club are operating at full cap, but Radford is working from a squad costing £1.2m. And maybe he didn't want to get into the reasons because he couldn't think of a way to say he's not considering £400k worth of players because they're on his sh*tlist that seems reasonable when we're 3rd from bottom.

| Quote: Hull Daily Mail "Hull football manager Motu Tony says the move is "good business" for the Black and Whites, who are understood to have freed up a significant amount of space on the salary cap in recent weeks by sending a number of players out on loan.
"A move to Castleford represents very good business for us and gives Garreth the chance to earn a new contract elsewhere, whilst it also takes a bit of pressure off our cap."
'"
What would be the point in freeing up cap space if we have no plans to sign anyone this year?

A projection that if the current rate of spending continued, the club would of finished the year over the cap?
