Quote: Hull-Neutral "By definition, Dr Allam is "dangerous" simply because he is wholly unpredictable and completely enigmatic!
And when you throw genuine anger into the pot too...well, who knows what will happen?
I completely agree that he comes out of this terribly, but that is not the issue here.
The issue is that, through no fault of the club, Hull FC have been caught in the crossfire of this potentially damaging fallout!
I would have thought that it was a 'given' that Pearson's sacking amid talk of lawyers has blown a hole in his medium-term business-plan of securing Hull FC a reduced rental agreement, wouldn't you?
And, like it or not, wearing his Stadium Management Committe 'hat', Allam holds the balance of power here regards the stadium!
He has ways and means of making life very difficult for Pearson personally and (through
association), Hull FC too!
People can bury their heads in the sand all they like, but this is the reality!'"
This is not the reality, its something I can only assume you wish to be the case,
Regarding your point about the rent. The rent was renegociated approx 3 years ago. Its doubtful there would be a break clause until the end of year 5 (if there is a break clause at all)
The Allams statement clearly indicates that it was their intention to run Hull City with the same business principles as any other part of their business empire. Are you suggesting that they would act in an unethical manner??
You invite criticism as you are clearly the least neutral contributor on this forum. You have no verted interest in Hull FC and only post when, in your eyes, there is an ill conceived opportunity to reval in potential doom and gloom for Hull FC.
Which ever club it is you follow, Hull City or hkr (or both) I'd be far more concerned about the holes blown in the bows of Hull City's ability to turn a potentially promotion winning season in February into season end also rans. When listening to Barmby's comments (which RH used) the term he used was "things are not always as they seem". Allams have responded with "Money was available". Yes, but how much? This was City's second season away from the premier league, which mean snext season the parachute payment diminishes significantly. IT does beg the question as to where this seasons parachute payment has gone? Perhaps it answers (partly) why the Allams personal wealth has risen by £130 in 12 months. Perhaps more importantly, if there wealth is so great, why didnt they let Barbmy have sufficent to gain promotion? Or, with that level of wealth, why not call the councils bluff and build at Brough?
If you do actually follow rovers, then where do you start. Its a basket case of a business which has effectively already sold itself out to Allam due to the £1m he loaned. You know the way he didnt want to favout one RL team over the other.
Is Allam dangerous, you bet he is. More faces than the equipment used on a craps table and that he doesnt actually know what he is going to do next.
But thankfully he is not directly involved with Hull FC, so I am not overtly worried
