I would have thought a simple glance at Easty's avatar will clear up your confusion.

Easty is clearly a Rovers fan.

| Quote: barham red "I do find this attitude odd, maybe you wasn't around in the 80's, but when the 2 teams where the best sides in the comp it was fantastic for the sport and for the city. I'd got no joy from seeing FC out of business, in fact I'd get no joy from seeing any other team out of business. My ideal situation was for us to win everything with FC as runners up. Still each to their own I suppose, just find it a bit of a bitter chip to carry around.'"
No barham I was very much around in the 80s. the rivalry was second to none. I dont get the younger fans who hate/dislike Leeds more than they do rovers. Maybe its because leeds was a big game before you got into S/L
My biggest games of the season [ besides cup finals]will always rovers home and away.

| I don't hate any club. I find that all their fans contain some idiots (including ours - I'm a Leeds fan by the way) but generally if you're in the pub before or after a game you can have a decent bit of friendly banter with fans of any team. Anyone who has been to more than one professional football match will know how lucky we are with that. Despite often being told on here how hated and arrogant I am, by virtue of supporting Leeds, I've never had any problem with FC fans, who are a pretty decent bunch. Cardiff (and Bath) 2005 was probably my favourite RL weekend. Shame we lost, but it was a great game (any Leeds fan who claims they don't really remember it is either lying or wasn't there) and your fans created an awesome atmosphere.
For all your rivalry with KR, you've got a lot going for you having them around. It makes Hull the most genuinely RL-centred city in the country. As a Leeds fan we don't really have a meaningful derby since Hunslet fell behind in the modern era. Our biggest rivalry (Wigan -disastrously - in the 90s, Bradford in the early 2000s, Saints in the last 5 years) have just been with whoever we are competing with most directly. It'd be great to have a derby that meant more than that. I'd still dearly love, more than any otyher team, to beat Wigan in a big final, but only because we've never done it and we owe them a few after the 90s. I have no issue with the club or its fans.
I spend a fair bit of time in Hull, I love your city and good luck to you whenever you're not playing Leeds. True story.
Longer story than I meant it to be...

You only had to look at who you played on that date last year. Wasn't so hard

| My brother in law is Sth African and they had servants. They would put their Rhodesian Ridgeback pups in a bag and hit them with a stick . They would open the bag and they made the housekeeper stand there with the stick . The dog , somehow , remembered and that made them guard dogs for the homeowner .
As a boy aged 11-15 I watched Rovers beat us and we tooka lot of stick from Rovers fans , a lot of it nasty , especially at old caravan park. I took an instant dislike to them AND more to their fans. It has never left me. Then the Colin Hutton/Lilley affair over the Gateshead merger etc really took the biscuit. That was hatred and vengeance personified and they wanted Hull out of business and for only KR to exist.

| I think the use of the word 'hate' is more lazy english for want of a better word.
I love seeing certain clubs suffer on the field but i'm not keen on seeing them suffer off the pitch.

Amazing how you can dislike all HKR fans
My worst experience at any game was in the 80's when a drunken FC female fan spat at a group of us and called my (then) 6 year old daughter a 'little R&W c***' after we tonked you at the Boulevard, maybe I should take a leaf out of your book and dislike ALL the fans of FC, including several friends. For the record, both our clubs have a number of nasty (so called) fans and as fans of RL we should be disliking these, no matter what shirt they were to justify their twisted allegiance.

Thanks for that at least I now know to hate your Brother in Law and his immediate family who partook in this activity, are they FC fans, I hope so then I can justifiably hate all FC fans as that story would make them all racist (I'm assuming the servants were black) animal abusers (even ethnic FC fans who work for the RSPCA).
