| I WILL NEVER SIT WITH COUNCILLORS FROM HULL!
Still looking at Melton or East Riding.
Personally I don't want the KC going into private hands, it's too much of a risk - history does repeat itself.

Not that many, no. If they ever did get competitive in the midtable area of the PL, I do think they could add about 5-10k to their gates though. This should obviously be the aim, and possibly even achievable, but to start making plans for it as an eventuality at this time is as fantastic as most of the guff they've been coming out with.

this is the rub of it, Allam has already shown (quite clearly in their signings) that he can't really afford to make City a Premiership Club, not without borrowing, and he hasn't got the assets he is prepared to borrow against.
as you and I (and many others have said) a total non-starter for the foreseeable future.

| My opinion is that allam dipped his toe in the water with city because he didn't realise the depth of their problems and he's now stuck with a bill he could never have imagined. It would have been far better for city to have gone into administration, taken the points deduction and walk away from a stack of debts and inflated contracts for players they didn't want.
He's now looking at some way of regaining a chunk of what he's laid out.
I doubt that allam himself has any ill feeling or intentions towards Hull FC, however I just don't see that our tenure in the KC is safe if it is in private hands. there is always the risk that we'll either be kicked out or have our rent increased significantly. allam won't own hull city forever and we only need some idiot like duffen to come in again and we'd be fooked.
The worry for me is that at some stage I do think that hull cc will relent and he'll get his way

I think the same. When they were in negotiations and he said about the books being worse than he thought, I remember thinking at the time that he sounded like a man having second thoughts. I suspect it was only because of all his bluster about him being the man to be the club's saviour that almost forced him to go through with it, or else look a fool. Turns out he just delayed the latter happening.

No council will give away a capital asset like the KC, the auditors would never allow it. Even if they managed it, they'd best be prepared to sell everything they own and look forward to some serious jail time.

Well he did use the phrase 'simple minded' in his interview. The guy is a grade A loon as he moaned about the council being behind the times re they way they do things and should contact their head office in London then said the shops would be for the wifes and mothers to do thier shopping in now who is behind the times???? Pot calling kettle.
