| Well I can only speak for myself obviously, but he doesn't get my back up. That spot is reserved for one man and one man only!!! I was merely, by the intensity of his post(s), perhaps curiously suspicious of his seemingly "agar in" motives. The old cynic in me maybe but who knows eh!!

| I speak as someone who has the dubious benefit of physical and (after the last few years), a greater degree of emotional detachment. I have seen and supported Hull FC for 50+ years and like many on here, have seen some great times and some absolute lows. One thing that does rankle with me though, is in the past, no matter how bad we were, we couold always pull something out to beat Leeds. A feat that we have spectacularly failed to achieve under Richard Agar.
When he was promoted to full-time (as opposed to caretaker) 1st team coach/manager, he was promoted beyond his capabilities. He is not, nor ever has been, nor ever will be a successful Superleague team manager. He has introduced a style of play that now leaves me numb. I sit and watch a game and even when we appear to be playing well, I sit and wait for what now appears to be the inevitable: Millenium Magic against KR and the Saints home game being prime examples.
I've got to the point now where I consider myself fortunate that I no longer live in Hull. I can use the excuse that I'm 300 miles away for my non-attendance, rather than feel that I am somehow betraying my heritage.
Thank you Agar, you did this you 2@

Great post my friend sadly you are not on your own. I relish the thought of more seasons of Agar's dull tactics like i relish the thought of having a giant genital wart!!!

| But Warrington chose a coach that had won Super League. they could see that Lowes was out of his depth as a first team coach.

Thats the point!! The fans can see Agar is out of his depth and not upto the task as Head Coach but the BOD seem to think he's fanbloodytastic which is why we seem to be stuck with him.

That's because Agar is everything the B.O.D's require. He says YES to anything proposed by them
and does the job no doubt a hell of a lot cheaper than a recognised winner. Hull FC is run as a business and as long as the B.O.D's are turning out a profitable club, nothing will change. They aren't too bothered if FC win the league or the Challenge cup because at the end of the day they know that irrespective of how dour the team have played or how dour the coaches tactics have been there are a solid nucleus of supporters who will buy season passes, shirts etc to pay the bills and a little bit more. That is the harsh and very sad truth of how our club is run. Mid table mediocrity is perfectly acceptable by the board evidently. Something needs to change but to be quite honest all the time the present mob are in charge this will simply not happen.

| Can you imagine what a massive lift to the club and the fans it would be if we do get rid of him? I reckon the next home match would see a big crowd and a great atmosphere backing the team

| Surely having a successful team will rake in more profits?
that extra revenue generated would pay for a world class coach many times over.

Yes it would but in order to win competitions etc. consistently you need a good coach at the helm initially therefore proving that the B.O.D's couldn't give a bloody hoot about challenging for honours. You seem to miss my point, the point i made is that in Agar he's the cheap option and the profit keeps coming in regardless. Yes IF we won things it would be a financial gain but it would also take a greater lay out in wages etc. to achieve that.

We just want a team who compete, who entertain and excite, who inspire us to get our cash out and buy a pass for next season, with our current coach, style of play i wouldnt go if someone gave me a free pass.
When we finish outside the top 8 which i think we will with the games we have left and get knocked out of the cup at the weekend then the BOD may act,

| speaking to a member of the media week before last he told me that he expected us to get beat vs saints as we struggle when put under any pressure due to our tactics, i then asked about agar and his opinion was he was out of is depth but the BOD would keep him as long as poss as he his cheap and it looks good on the books as they are still actively looking at selling the club, i wish if this was true they would hurry up and get on with it !!!!
