Quote: garry brindley "I agree with your general stance on the board but to say Agar isn't the problem is nonsense. He may not be the entire problem but he is terrible at his job. Therefore it would benefit us to replace him, even if it wouldn't cure all of our problems.'"

If Rich Agar goes he will be replaced with someone in the same mould, some one that can be moulded, shaped and prodded into doing as he is told. Getting rid of him would be buying more time for the board to spin its web of again, this season written off and next as its not the new coaches team etc etc ..............

I could argue keeping Rich in his post could lead to changes that may be for the better long term...........

Quote: chads "IMO Peter Sharp got the boot for far less than what Agar has done. One bad season for Sharp against 3 bad seasons for Agar. No one wants to see anyone lose a job but only points, 8 points off the pace and looking like there is plenty more defeats left in Hull yet. I thought the predictions for Hull positions this year by the papers was being unfair, but now they seem optimistic!'"

Won 15 out his first 16 games and took us to Old Trafford, then in 2007 took us to 4th and a play off win despite losing Cooke early in the season and then Swain and Domic to injury.

Can see what you're getting at but you're still needing someone to come in with the money and the chances of that are slim to none. We might end up with Agar mk2 but all the same change for changes sake seems pretty appealing at the moment.

Quote: Ian P "Because I do not think Richard Agar is the problem.

Because a pattern is there of hiring coaches and firing/leaving.

Because no top coach will ever come to Hull FC until there is a change.

Because we are need to alter the culture at the club from the top down.

The cancer at the club Bomber went on about was players was it ?

The thread Title has the wrong name on it, but it will come as sure as night follows day'"

Having seen what you're talking about 1st hand I have to agree. hetherington should fook off and take rule with her

As for agar, he should never have been appointed. So far out of his depth it isn't even funny.

Saddest thing for me is the apathy. Yes, some stayed and vented their frustrations but the majority just skulked away. 2 blokes who sit in front of me have been watching the club for over 50 years each and just got up and left with 17 minutes left

The thing that worries me is that Sharp had far more boo-boys than Agar currently has. I think Agar's reputation as a "young, British, new coach" keeps him immune from the amount of scrutiny Sharp faced. People were quick to reiterate the "Go sharp, and take your Aussie journeymen with you" phrase. I can only see that as a form of xenophobia which shines Hull in very bad light.

Feel a bit like that myself. Stayed to the end but fed up rather than riled up. We're 1 from 9 with, to all intents and purposes, 2 years remaining on Agar's contract. How many fans will be left in 2013?
