Sammut was interested in coming and it very nearly happened. When it didn't we moved quckly to sign Phelps who was obviously Plan B all along.

And signing Moore would be agood move too.

if zidane was any good why did totenham not sign him. If dobson was any good he wouldnt have been released etc etc.

Whilst you guys are short in cover at HB (which Phelps can play), imo its Rules job to go get the cover when Agar has clearly highlighted as an area he wants strenghtening.

In the last couple of years you have recruited (Long, Fitz and O'Meley who have WC backgrounds, Moa and Lauki who the fans seem to like, plus Westerman, Sharp and Turner who all are meant to have very good futures. Now you get Phelps who is a proven tryscorer in a position of weakness for you yet you still complain.

I cant see why Wayne Bennett wouldnt join such a positive club

I am hoping we can develop Turner in the h/backs, hooker cover is a concern though.

I have no problem with the signing of Phelps who i think is a good player, only the shoddy timing and the fact that Agar chose to spend so much time chasing a player who was never available.

Westerman wasn't available but we got him in the end, you have to aim high.

Delighted with the Phelps signing. He was excellent at wigan and was particularly good at fullback so I think he will be a like for like replacement for Tansey. He was underrated during his time at Wigan but SL fans but Wigan fans will tell you how good he was for them.

Also he can cover centre, wing and the halves. His best asset is linking into the line and also his distribution plus he plays with bundles of enthusiasm.

I wonder if you would ever be happy with anything the club did or any player they bought
