Worried? No. He has some shortcomings in the position but then so has everyone else we've played there pretty much since Prekkie left.

I don't think it would be the best use of his talents though.

A lot of Leeds fans have hastily fallen out of love with Mcshane after 2 poor games. Some saying he could be 4th choice next season as they have another young 9 ready for the squad.

I'd have him for a season.

McShane was okay for us without ever being outstanding. Would take him on loan for a year though to allow Berrigan to play centre.

I'd say his only/main shortcoming in the position is the same as his only/main shortcoming in any position - lack of pace. That being said, it hasn't done Wellens any harm. I'm not saying he'd be in Prescott's class, but then, very few are.



Perhaps not, but as Agar doesn't seem inclined to play a ball-playing loose forward, it might be the next best option. If Tansey goes, I'd say Whiting was definitely the best option at FB out of the players we have left on the books currently. Of course, that will all change when we sign Greenshields.

Weak link in the team for me.

I still see Whiting as the perfect bench player rather than being tied down to a fixed position. With our history of injuries he's invaluable as a guy who can come on and play just about anywhere to a good standard so that the team doesn't need switching around.

If Tansey went for any reason, which I don't think he will then Whiting is the only contender for FB imo.

I've heard from a very good source that he'll be staying but we're after a full back and that tansey will be back up hooker and cover for the halves

I really hope not unless the FB has the attacking flare Tansey has. He'd be wasted at 9 imo.
