The game is a lot faster than it was in 1985..Therefore defence is an important attribute every player has to have...Sadly Hally could not tackle a sunday dinner...he may be a try scorer however he lets more in than what he is capable of scoring.

Now even victor meldrew has to agree that bit was funny icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

also players are bigger, fitter by a wide mark and would add to that in my opinion he would not have shone even back then , i bet your average sailor has tackled more pros than he has

I think all who know Craig like him, he is a genuinely nice lad...however not rating a person as a player is not personal icon_confused.gif

Sorry, he did indeed, from memory I thought he was benched and then came on at centre.

It doesn't alter the fact that he'd been playing out of his skin at stand-off, only to be moved to centre to allow Ah Koi to laughingly attempt to mark Brett Kenny

Quote: Panda92 "He has lots of potential, everyone can see that, but he seems to have stagnated a bit here. There isn't a place in our squad for him to progress to. Hopefully, joining a new club would spur him on to improve, as he has the potential to be a very good attacking player, if he can keep his confidence up.

He just needs to work on his defensive positioning when playing centre, and to choose the time to go for an intercept, as he goes for them a little too much.

Would rather he went to Cas than KR. They'd be less pressure there, and there's a chance of him getting fairly regular game now that shenton's left, plus I think he could complement Chase (both quick and attacking, something could get going).'"

copypaste from another thread I posted it in, but relevant here.

Agree, Hall has had a frustrating couple of years, but there is no doubt he has talent, and he had a good game tonight.
What I can`t understand is why we bought Turner, to get rid of Hall. I live over in Lancs. and the Salford fans I talk to can`t understand why we bought him! Hall is a better footballer, he has more pace, he is capable of winning us a game with a try out of nothing, his field kicking is good, and he is a very good goalkicker. True his defence is poor, but so is Turner`s.
I`m not sure whether Hall should go or not, he could become a really good player, but I am sure that Turner will never become anything better than ordinary at Super League level.

Simply being on the team sheet would be sufficient for some on here to blame Craig Hall for any try we conceded

I have always willed him to do his best, don't want him to be a "nearly" man. I really hope he succeeds where ever he ends up. He may come back to bite us, but for Craig I think it's best, we can't keep him hanging on.

If he goes to the Darkside they will be just as forgiving as we are!

Craig can only dream of getting to that level.

If it was a choice of Hall or Turner it would be Turner for me.

Turner is already better than Hall and has the potential to improve.

For Hall, I'm afraid this is as good as it gets.
