Seems like a lot of the dobbins, who never seemed to be off here when they were on the crest of a wave, have suddenly gone silent.Bandwaggoner's i called them and bandwaggoners they are.Grudgell,s hatred of us could lead to a very big downfall. With the old dobbins directors it was healthy rivalry, with him it's pure hatred with the hatred rubbing off on his coaching staff. And as for Judas, icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: i bet he wish's he could turn the clock back after his beloved team try to sell him to anybody who wants him. It's a funny old game, what comes around goes around.

Quote: hullbg "If they go under we would not benefit from selling out the stadium at least once a season. It would in effect take off at least 10,000 from our seasonal average. It is all very well having a laugh at their expense but if it affects us in the long run i dont find it a laughing matter.

Just think our average gate is 13k there or thereabouts. We play them we get 23k (varies a bit due to seating etc) so that is roughly 10,000 on top of an average crowd 10k x £20 (average price)

You are confusing average attendance with aggregate attendance.

Our average attendance in the 2009 season was 13,226 from an aggregate of 171,941.

Knock off the Rovers game (attendance 22,337) and the average was 12,467 (aggregate 149,604).
That average would still be the third highest in SL last season and one of the highest in the club's history.

Of course we'd get a lower attendance playing, say, Widnes rather than Rovers but really not enough to get worried about.

I dunno mate, they have been consistently petty and downright obstructive since the late 70's ie when the mighty FC rose from slumber to reclaim our position as the biggest team.

Grudgell may be the most infantile yet but he is following a well-trodden path of embittered dobbins; Hutton, Land, Lowe, Klemka and who was the pr1ck who blocked our application to Div 2 in 1999 ?

You wouldn't slash on 'em if they were on fire.

That's him.

Wonder what he is doing these days ? Actually I couldn't give a flying whatsit. Another of life's losers, so well matched to his beloved club.

It's been commom knowledge since they arrived in SL that Rovers have been generous with the wages e.g. Dobson, Neither us or Wigan could match their offer despite having much bigger support. Simple mathematics always always made it a certainty that they would be stacking up large debts. Happy new year Mr. Hudgell. I wonder what his New Yrs resolution is?

To be honest i can't remember the past dobbins directors being as bad as Grudgell, but i do remember them trying to put us out of existence by blocking our entrance to Div 2.As for their past chairman,Chief Inspector Barry Lilley, once stopped the bingo in Walton Club whilst following up a call about a local murder, pensioners ready to lynch him.Often used to see him with his personalised number plate on his flash car round the West Hull village's. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

At least us cabbages can sit and watch as Grudge sees trouble sprouting in front of him.Of course he could dangle a carrot by saying he will dip in his pocket to plug any leeks. Lett us hope the entertainment continues ,as it is on par sniping at him ,as it is for him giving us the greens from his end.

Also, I reckon that if they did go under there would be a fair amount who miss having competetive rugby to watch and would come to the KC quite regularly. There will be a few who are just fans of the game rather than fans of Rovers and will just come along to enjoy rugby, there will be some who have nothing better to do and will come along to support the away team, and there will be a few who end up as genuine fans of Hull FC. We only need to get 700 of these people per game to offset the lost revenue due to not having a derby.
