| Quote: Mrs Barista "I think we've done this one to death now. You rate him and would include him on the off-chance he gets the opportunity to show his skill and pace. I wouldn't (if everyone was fit) as he puts his team mates under too much pressure with the number of mistakes he makes and weak tackling. Glad he's getting a breather tomorrow and he played very well against Wakefield last season so hoping he can reproduce that on Friday.'"
I admire skill. Hall has it, and it's a rarity in our squad. He demonstrates it in just about every game - he was instrumental in Briscoe's try on Friday for instance. He also cops the blame for his team mates shortcomings. The dropped ball that lead to Fox's try, for instance. That started with an absolutely dire pass from R Horne and involved an appalling missed tackle by Yeaman, yet some want to blame Hall for it.
I don't like unjust criticism.

I agree 100%.
Move over Tommy Lee, Craig Hall is this years message board scapegoat.

[quote="Wellsy13":1juz9zgo]To us REAL fans, there's no better feeling than winning competitions. Getting to a final is next. Then a top 6 finish or semi-final appearance. Then I suppose the derby counts as the most important league fixture.
Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.

| Lesson #46 from the Richard Agar book of coaching:
The best way to give confidence to a player who is clearly lacking it is to drop him for the squad completely. This, at a time when we barely have enough backs to put a team together. Deary me.

I really dont think he has really thought out his decision on dropping Hall,
by doing so he has weakened an already decimated back line.
Having Hall in the 17 gives him more options with how and where to play Whiting/ Washbrook/G Horne, I also think Radford will HAVE to start in the front row as King/Thackray/Moa dont have the steel Radders has at opening prop. If Hall had kept his spot then Reardon would have been at FB, G Horne to the bench to cover 3/4 and 2nd row

Good assessment.
The kid just needs to be coached properly, something he's clearly not getting from Agar & Sharp.
How difficult would it be to bring in Gary Kemble in a consultancy role for a few weeks?
He's got heaps more natural ability than Kris Welham, but Welham is receiving better coaching & is quickly developing into the better player.
If things continue as they are he'll end up at Rovers & Justin will develop him into the player he could be.

Won't happen anytime soon. Hall is our player until the end of next season, Rovers already have Walker and Webster until the end of next season and will re-sign Welham who is OOC this year. Don't think they'd go for a 4th centre TBH.

Walker will be lucky to get another deal. Good chance he'll be moved into the back row anyway.
