Quote Steve0="Steve0"Which is true, but when your fan base is already annoyed by poor recruitment, a head coach serving up abysmal performances, questions around whether the cap is being spent or not, you can't then make a statement that there will be new faces in by the Leeds game and not follow through with it, otherwise it just further undermines the trust your fan base has in you and further alienates/annoys them'"
He didn't actually say that there would be guaranteed new signings by the Leeds game, but that they were trying to sign some in time for the Leeds game. Just extracted the quote from Hull Live:
Quote Steve0Shopping in the NRL market at this time of the year is not easy, and the UK market is even more difficult, but we're relatively confident that in the next two weeks, we'll see one or two arrivals in the team, hopefully in time for Leeds.'"
Thought that it was worth throwing out there for context that there was no actual statement or promise made, just that the club was trying. Fits in with the rest of his interview as he wouldn't commit to anything or give too much away about names, time frames etc.
