where does it say the club say he has a serious injury? its the HDM . Maybe he has maybe he hasnt, But once again cant wait to have a dig,

3 scenarios:
1. The HDM totally made it up
2. The HDM have access to his medial records
3. Somebody at the club let that information out

What do you think is most likely? Or do you have a 4th scenario?

my point it wasnt a direct quote from the club. not hard to understand is it. Its all conjecture till FC come out and tell us.

There is no chance any club would come out and say that they are releasing somebody because they think he is injured. The club and medical staff would look incredibly foolish if Connor lines up for Huddersfield in round 1. Leaving it up to the media to report on it being a possibility saves face.

Some posters on here believed saints, wigan and host of Nrl clubs were after him. Yet Somehow he’s gone back to Hudds!

Yeah that game this season against Wigan at home he was awful, think it was just the 5 tries he set up

He was far from a liability and whether you like it not without Jake Connor we would have been in a very different position as a club. Other players around him failed to create to a consistent level and this pass season failed altogether. Jake Connor was an integral part to most of the points scored.

I think the movement is in all honesty best for both the club and Jake.
With the signing of Hoy and Truman I think Smith had an issue of what to do with Connor and where to play him. Hoy is the obvious choice for FB and just don’t see Connor as a half or one that would link well with a player like Truman.
So with a year left on his deal and him unlikely to renew plus the possibility he will miss a chunk of the coming season it’s a sensible decision to move him on to use the cap space he takes up.

That said I’m still disappointed he’s gone as he is a talented player and would liked to have seen him under the guidance of Smith. Though hard facts are Smith needed to change things and quickly so moving Jake on means opening up room for changes earlier.

The club via the HDM have said he could be out for 10 months.Tomlinson is the HDM spokesman for the club.He doesnt make it up its what he has been told and he would not be able to put it in print if the club havnt sanctioned it.
If thats correct dont you count 10 months out of action as a serious injury?
