| If the rumour of 800-1000 is accurate then that is truly embarrassing. I remember Hull taking 2500 to Knowsley Road a few years back (the game with the fog) - on a Friday night and that was a league game

One of the best atmospheres i have been in at an away game!
"What the f*** is going on"
"We can't see a f***ing thing!"
I remember my mate saying that he was at the scoreboard end and he heard a huge roar from the Hull fans, and then Tom Briscoe emerged out of the fog scoring a full length of the field try!

The fog game at Knowsley Rd was a Saturday tea time game.
That said, in 2006 we took a right mob with us there in the 27-26 Cooke drop goal game and that was a Thursday night game.

It wasn't, it was a Friday night game, first game of the season on SKY

Certainly was, didn't Briscoe score his try with only one boot on? Great atmosphere that night, match was delayed if memory serves. Remember taunting the Saints fans with "There's only one Shaun Long...."

No, it really was on a Saturday.
First game of the season on Sky is always the defending champions.
The game sticks out in my memory as I had been to the 1pm kick off Liverpool / Everton derby earlier that day, then I went to Knowsley Rd to see Long, O'Meley and Fitzgibbon make their debuts.
