Completely different match scenarios suit these players. Thompson is great when our forwards are on top and his extra agility can make tired forwards look silly. However, when the opposing forwards are on top I'm not sure there's many better than Washy to bring on and slow the ruck down in the league, he's brilliant at it.
Basically, I'd have both.

| As good as Carlos played last week, we can't go into a game against a big side (offence intended, Rovers) with Washbrook and Carlos on the bench, in lieu of an extra powerful forward. If Carlos isn't starting at 6, he's either on the bench ahead of Washbrook or 18th man for me. Bear in mind, he might not actually be fully fit so Radford may choose not to select him to ease him back in.
Big fan of Thompson, so him on the bench alongside Bowden, Frank and Carlos/Washbrook is a bench that would rival most set of interchanges in the competition.

Or will he? Maybe Radford playing safe with Frank and not going to risk him or is he fit and leaving St's guessing as to whether he plays or not?
For me if he is a risk then we rest him as we have enough in the squad to beat St's as they have already proved in the CC when we were without both Frank & Sika

| I'd be tempted to rest Washy (not sure he needs resting) and play Thompson. Of course if Frank is out both would be in

| HULL FC UNCHANGED FOR SAINTS CLASH
Lee Radford has named an unchanged 19-man squad to face St Helens this weekend.
The Black and Whites face Saints at the KC Stadium on Saturday (28 May), kick-off 3pm, in Round 16 of Super League 2016.
The game also sees both clubs celebrate Steve Prescott Day, in memory of the Rugby League legend, with Hull FC currently holding a 1-point aggregate lead as they look to retain the Precky Cup.
Hull head coach Radford has picked the same squad that travelled to Newcastle on Sunday for the Magic Weekend, coming away with a 28-16 Derby win over rivals Hull Kingston Rovers.
HULL FC: Bowden, Ellis, Fonua, Green, Houghton, Manu, Minichiello, Naughton, Pritchard, Pryce, Shaul, Sneyd, Talanoa, Taylor, Thompson, Tuimavave, Washbrook, Watts, Yeaman.
