| Sneyd makes a massive different, not all the things he try's work, but he gets us moving about and makes the opposition think. Once they got close to us we started to looked nervous and make mistakes and go back to one man rugby.
Still not convinced that Radford used his subs right, should have brought on Whiting in the first half when we were struggling towards the end.

| Quote: Robbo4 "We appear to have completely changed philosophy which is apparently on the back of a clear the air team meeting a few weeks ago. We are attacking with much more fluidity and offloads have suddenly returned. If this way of playing remains then Radford should be given some more time but the fact we have had to change how we play actually backs up what the Radford out Brigade have been saying.
We play really boring uninspiring rugby so the fans get fed up and start to call for the coach to sort it out or go. The coach eventually appears to change philosophy with the game plan and we start to play some attractive rugby and get some results and apparently this means the fans were wrong to ever question the coach in the first place. I'll leave you to decide just how dumb that is.'"
Well put.

I know some coaches (kear was one) plan their interchanges pre match and are unlikely to change these other than for injury. Seems odd to me but maybe radford does it

| Our best performance of the season for me.
We passed the ball around, had some set moves, looked like we could score.
I am also in the unconvinced camp about Radford at the moment. That said yesterdays approach to the game was a million miles away from the performances we saw against hkr and Hudds. Away wins at St's and Wire, 6 wins out of 7 games.
Have we turned the corner? I suppose next Friday at home to St's will tell us ?

Spot on, that the OP doesn't get it is all the more why some of us have being pulling our hair out at how bad we've been.
As for the comment re motivational bod, I've been saying this for ages, a sports psychologist in whatever guise you want to name it makes a BIG difference in how players can approach what they are doing and how they see things.
It's such a shame it's taken so long when the potential is there even with injuries, frankly that's not an excuse, nor is the 'it takes time to gel' because our attack has being completely non existant even with Sneyd and Pryce on the pitch at times.
As professionals you're expected to do the basics at the very least, we've not been doing that very often this season.
All that said, yesterday was a breath of fresh air, yes more improvements can be made but we attacked with a lot more freedom and a certain amount of organisation that we've lacked.
And this 'Radford out' poster isn't going anywhere and I did attend the game thanks.

| It was a very refreshing change to see some entertaining rugby. Bit (lot) of a wobble in the middle but they came through it and hopefully that performance can only have done the team a lot of good.
If it is a psychological thing and somebody is in talking to them then that's good. The acid test will be Friday night - if we go back to five drives and a kick then the corner has most definitely not been turned.

| Radford is an inexperienced coach and is still learning. I'm hoping these recent displays show that he is getting better. I would rather we had a coach who already knew what he was doing but if we cant have that then at least we have a guy who can change when he is failing.
Saints at home next following two big wins. This week will show just how far Radford has come.

Had the motivational coach in since during the off season. Not sure how often or if on the books full time but been in a while

Maybe Radford's learning. Listening is an important leadership attribute.

Big game Friday with a tough part of the season coming up for us. Win and we're only 4 points behind saints with a game in hand. Without walsh they've looked distinctly average with ball in hand and I see no reason we won't win if we defend as we can. We need to be vigorous and aggressive in defence and the game is there for the taking IMO. Win and we're in with a decent shout of the 8, lose and we're back in the mire.

Good post. The most frustrating/telling thing for me has been our lack of doing some really basic things well. Makes me wonder what has actually made the difference? Find it hard to believe it's simply down to a team meeting. Surely something has changed with the training, tactics or game plan?

As Peter Sharp has been visiting our training facilities recently,I wonder if Radford has received some advice for improving our attack prep..
Great to hear, that we seem to have employed a Sports Psychologist..
I really hope, we dont sink back into old habits of the boring RL ,that
was served up previously...

Would love to have sharp back as head coach. He'd be great with the current owner
