Overseas players will come to Hull if the deal is right, unfortunately the terms of trade have changed since the time of Swain, Kearney and Smith. They would never come now as they would earn at least twice as much in the NRL.

It is harder to attract British players to Hull, especially from west of the Pennines, so we are left with the necessity of developing our own players.

If we're spending the full salary cap, which given the registration/loan issues we've had appears to be the case, it's clearly not to do with penny pinching.
