| For the first time in my life I have lost interest in the club, I have sat through bad times before, but back then we were skint and had a crumbling ground and you could understand why.
It may sound dramatic but I am very concerned about the long-term future of the club, with the club not owning the stadium, our business model is set up on a big crowds & big shop sales, it can't survive paying £500K+ a year to rent the KC and get low crowds and reduced shop sales, and there are very few other ways for the club to make money.
the mood of the fans is the worst I have ever known it, most people around me where indulging in 'Gallows Humour' last night and mocking the team and Radford. Others were fiddling about with their mobile phones. I don't blame people, you have to do something to entertain yourself when the rugby on the field is so dire! it will only take another thousand or 2 fans to get bored and stop going and the club will rack up heavy losses.
I have lost my patience with Pearson, he has made 2 bad choices on the coaching front and for all the hype we are no better on the field than we were during the much maligned Hetherington/Agar days. In fact i'd say the squad is weaker than even our 2011 squad under Agar (still no half backs, Agar's side had stars like Manu, Briscoe & Fitzgibbon, and players like Horne, Yeaman & Whiting where younger and better)
Yes a lot of investment has been made in the youth set up, but we can't simply sit back and wait 2-3 years for this to bear fruit, and with any youth development there is never a guarantee that the players will be good enough. Also if the crowds keep dropping as they are, you wonder if the club can even afford to run an extensive youth set-up.
with the upcoming league re-structure our woes coulden't come at a worse time, instead of having money spinning 'top 8' games the club will be playing the likes of Batley at an empty KC, and with that will come less TV games and less sponsorship money.
If Pearson's reading this the time to act is now, there is still time to win the fans round by spending big on a quality coach and avoid the club heading in to potentially fatal freefall.

In the spirit of 'gallows humour'...
One upside with crowds falling is we'll eventually trigger the sub-7500 crowd figure clause and start paying a greatly reduced rent.
Rejoice!

Do tell us where you know this from.
As everyone understands, its a flat fee for the KC, anything over 7500 is 50/50. Never ever mentioned sub 7500 gate (infact its an annual total crowd figure, so may change with the extra home game.) rent reductions. Its a first

Someone sat on the same row as me left when we were 12-0 down. I initially thought they'd got up to go to the toilet or something but they never came back!

The season ended when we lost the cup game. I wasn't a fan of the new league structure when it was announced, but i'm willing to give it a chance now as SL can't continue with only 4/5 clubs having a realistic chance of Old Trafford and the rest just playing dead rubber fixtures.

| I've got to agree with ULLFC.
I was one of those with stupid jokes, something i had to do to keep myself entertained.
Only good thing about last night was i took my lad (8 years old) for the first time last night, and he enjoyed it (probably as he didnt know what was going on, but enjoyed it with his mini offy shirt on).
Things need to change at the club. Radders was doing a good job with the kids, send him back there. 1st team job is way to early for him. Bring in a proven coach, sort out a long term plan, stick to it. Let him assemble the squad he wants, the structure he wants, give him the time he needs, not just one season and 10 games which is what we seem to do.
Even if it takes us 3-4 years to get it right, i'd take mediocre til then as long as we can see that we're going in the right direction, going towards the long term plan. Look at other clubs, how they've taken time to grow as a club onto bigger things. Should take our lead from them.
We as fans need to stop thinking we're a top 4 team every year, because we're way off the mark. We are top 6-8 at best. Thats just how it is.
Of course i want us to be winning things, challenging every year, but we need to start from scratch.
And Calm........................

Fantastic post. I've been calling Pearson for a while now, we are ultimately where we are now due to the appointments he's made since he bought the club. It's been poor decision after poor decision. He needs to get a grip before it's to late.

| Good argument, only undermined by the comment
"you took away Sunday games so I can no longer attend"
Not really relevant as many people can't make sundays (me included !) and that's nowt to do with the coaching

| There is a definite C change at the moment. Through all the crap we have endured since AP took over nobody has really questioned him. It's apparent now that some are starting to do that. That is a concern and one that AP should really start to take note of.
