We've frequently had a better atmosphere at since the move to the KC compared to the last decade at The Boulevard.'"

The atmosphere at the KC is lunar .
A 15K capacity Stadium with terracing as well as seating would be a lot better . A close to the pitch intimidating atmosphere for the opposition is what is needed .
Teams come to the KC and love it not hate it !!
Who remembers the days when Schofield wouldn't play on the
3d stand side of the Boulevard for Leeds !
Yesterday for me summed up our home support , pathetic !! All we ever get is few rounds of come on you Hull. And we definately only sing when we are winning !!
Hull FC at the moment , players and fans no passion !

Quote: hatty "I couldn't agree more and this coming from a Wigan fan with two trophies in the cupboard. The whole game needs a massive change and a clean sweep from top to bottom. It's a shame really I used to live and breath rugby league but now it's just something I watch at the weekend. I'm still a season ticket holder and will continue to be but the game needs direction and igniting , it's definitely lost its spark.'"

Couldn't agree more, same story different (and a lot more successful ) club. From the buffoons on Sky to the people running the game we need a change.Watch Premier sports and see how our great game is promoted, presented and played in Aus.I know we haven't got as many good players as they have but our game is a pale imitation of their game.We want a shake up from top to bottom,Neil Hudgell was right. He may be the chairman of the dobbins but you can't dispute that he has his finger on the pulse.

I agree with this 100%. There seems to be a negative energy at home games at the moment, I suppose that won't help the players but generally crowds respond to the performance of the players and if that's not very good then the crowd is often quiet. In terms of the ground something similar to what saints or wire have got would be great for us.

I share many of the opinions listed on the thread regarding the game as a whole. There's only so many second man plays and kicks to the corner that can remain interesting over a long period of time. Couple that with idiotic presenters working for the main broadcast partner, a bemusing league structure, a heavily sanitised game where even the sight of a player being pushed into touch gets referees panicking, more water carriers on the field than players etc. etc. and the image to me is just a very stale one.

Getting harder to motivate myself particularly with the travel to games getting more difficult as well certainly on Fridays.

Wakefield fan for knocking on 50 years. The game should have developed over the years particularly when you consider the amount of money pumped in to it. The RFL lack any kind of organisation, structure, and lack any kind of thought of how to develop the game. We have all become selfish and single minded . The game needs a good shake up and must be run by forward thinking business people who not only have the interest of the game and individual clubs but also can formulate a long term plan to 1 make the game more appealing ,2 create a viable long term structure, 3 create stability and structure.

The atmosphere we got at the KC when we were averaging 12K+ was decent IMO, the problem is we've now lost 3K fans and even the East & South stands are sp as a result.

A consistently successful Hull side can average 14-15K easily (which would mean the East, South & West Lower would be pretty much sold out)

yes I'd love to see us having our own specialist rugby ground, but realistically it isn't happening...so we have to concentrate on getting the team playing well again and the crowds will naturally get bigger and louder as a result.

I agree . Yesterday there were just over 10k in the ground .
Until the fight you could here a pin drop . You could hear the players calls , grunts etc .
They must of thought they were playing at YPI Chants Ave . Our sanitised fickle bunch are too busy looking at Girlie Bird.
I know how to get the crowd going.
Instead of Clarky doing the annoying and stupid "Good afternoon East Stand" , he should walk to the centre spot and burn a Rovers scarf !!

The problem for me is we have tried to grow and blatentley stuck two fingers up to the fans who have kept this game alive over the decades. It seems every other six months another club hits administration and is spending a full season getting tonked. The way the game is governed it seems one rule for one and a different one for other people, there is zero modern day forward thinking at Red Hall (could anybody really see Nigel Wood heading a twitter or facebook campaign ?).

If your from France, down south, Wales or any other RL starved area the games top bosses will do everything in there power to fast track you to a SL side. But if your over 100 years old and got a tax bill thrown at you, they really don't want to know.

Clubs like PSG, Sheffield, Crusaders, Toulouse and Catalans (although Cats are a success story) have being chosen to spotlight the sport rather then great clubs like Halifax, Leigh and Featherstone.

They say in this sport we are not afraid to try something new, which is fair enough. But we do seem afraid to think and apply common sense logic, putting Magic Weekend on at the same time as the FA Cup final is another mistake and shows the lack of forward planning at Red Hall. I admire there will to take on Football but we all know out the two events which 50/50 fans will choose.

Everyone knew at the time that Franchising would have a knock on effect to the quality of the league for at least the first ten years, its obvious that was going to happen when you encourage clubs to invest in there own. We haven't even hit ten years yet and already the plug has being pulled.

We as a sport have lost our morals and focused far too much on the £££. What we need to do is put league structure in place which is fair, competitive and allows clubs to progress. Should an outside City wish to join our sport we should welcome them with open arms, but they must start at the bottom like everybody else and find there own identity.

Too much off the field stuff takes the headlines these days and that is where the sport has gone wrong. Nobody cares about the facilities to them as long as what they watch on the pitch is entertaining.

(tin foil conspiracy theorist hat on) I really am starting to wonder if the poor standard of officiating matches is down to some sort of twisted agenda to make games closer and supposedly more entertaining with tenser finishes. It doesn't work and if the powers that be think anyone that has a basic grasp of the game will fall for it they must be as daft as everyone thinks they are. (tin foil hat removed)

Going against the majority on here and still love RL, really look forward to watching sky games and NRL (Which has been amazing this year).

I'll never stop going, but getting really fed up with Hull at the moment, really considering not watching the Derby for the FA cup final instead the way i feel about the club at the moment (although, I reckon this will change the more the week goes on).

This is certainly a really good thread which shows views reflected across the whole game, I'll not stop going but I do thing some times that I'm wasting my time, we have our problems as a Club, but with the exception of the fans of Leeds, Widnes and Castleford who for obvious reasons are up at present the rest of Clubs have supporters who are drifting away. The thing is too that with Clubs getting more money from Sky than the limit of their cap many owners are doing little about it. The drain of top players to Australia, refereeing, the judiciary, next years ridiculous new competition format, the goons on Sky, the demise of international rugby etc etc etc are all seeing our great game suffering from dwindling interest! After a great World Cup that should have kick started our game in this country, its certainly a worry!

When you see some of the decisions coming out of Red Hall, no wonder we are getting confused and frustrated.

I've changed my views on the new competition format for next year, having been very opposed to it before i'm now willing to give it a chance. I think the game needs to be 'showcasing' the top 8 best sides in big ties over the summer, even if its looking likely that Hull will miss out and will play in the 2nd set of 8.

the current format means that for clubs like ours the season is over as soon as you exit the Cup, so I am willing to give the new structure a chance.

Good Thread This

I am becoming more and more tired with the same old excuses coming out of Hull F.C (trained well intensity at training) but not bleedin turning up on game day.
Lets be honest Hull & Rovers fans we are 2 poor teams playing for 7th and 8th.
Sorry not good enough Mr Pearson and Mr Hudgell deserve more than this for the money they have invested.
I no longer bother with any SKY games as the game has no characters anymore you have to admit from the days of watching Paul Woods Ronnie Wileman etc you always looked forward to a good bit of Biff.
The RFL the Super League are a complete joke.
