This. If we're going to compete up at the top we need to honestly ask ourselves what players we have that the teams that consistently finish above us would want. These are the players we need to retain and build a team around IMO.

However, if we are to wield the ax on certain players we need to make sure we have someone better lined up to replace them. It's easy enough saying that players A, B and C should go but if their replacements are just more of the same then we won't have improved. Finding those better players will be the tricky part.

Can't see Cookie's return going down well. I personally have moved on but I know there's still a lot of FC fans out there that don't want him anywhere near the club again.

Leeds' back line is scary good, but take Yeaman out and put Sa in and I don't think our backs are that far behind the other 3.

Personally I'd like to see BJB and Sa complete our 3/4's. Rankin has the making of a quality 6 but it's that number 7 I'm sure we need. I like Miller and really want him to do well but I still remain unconvinced when you see what Walsh can bring to the table at saints. Thats to kind of 7 we're crying out for.

It's the name and their proven track record in getting to finals and league places.Saying that,he has been distinctly average over the last 2 matches on telly.
