My worry is with Lineham and Crooks apparently being split up. Think that would be a mistake TBH. Otherwise no real surprises and only one disappointment.

Yeah - that left edge could be in a bit of a state of flux early on. Although I don't see the point of naming Lineham there instead of Crookes if that isn't going to be the way we start.

I quite like the look of the squad, going in the right direction, will help having another half.

Biggest gap we ave is in the backrow, all of our backrowers are all simalar, no Willie Manu type player.'"

Squad numbers can be a guide to some thinking, but then I think there's always a certain amount of tact involved, too. For instance, fullback: I still think there's a good chance Shaul might get the nod, but to take the 1 shirt from McDonnell for him would create more of a talking point and probably more pressure. And again in the centres, how much fuss would be made if Yeaman lost his number after so many years and his testimonial season? Yet you can't really not give Crooks one of the 2 shirts, so it had to be Arundel's. I still wouldn't be surprised to see Arundel and Crooks as our centres (in fact I'd prefer it based on last year).

And how many people think Paleaasina will be further down the pecking order than Bowden?

Mickey Paea isn't a big nasty prop at all, he'll run hard and make yards all day but nasty he isnt. do you actually watch any rugby?

This is exactly the prop we need, can someone describe what a big nasty prop is. It isn't the 80s, players don't get intimated just because a props hard, do fans want a Tim street.

Discipline is such a key part of the game and a player who gives always too many penalties and gets sent off is a liability.

The best team in the league don't have this type of player, in fact which top clubs do?

Chance to see them......

Quote: Hull FC Web Site "Hull FC’s season pass holders will be able to get a glimpse of their heroes in action over the coming months with an open invite to training during the course of pre-season.
Coach Lee Radford’s first team squad returned to the club’s Elite Performance Centre on Chanterlands Avenue yesterday having begun their preparations for 2014 with a gruelling three-day army camp with the Light Dragoons last week.
Now, as part of a new ethos to take the club back to its roots and match the passion shown by supporters, pass holders can watch the players get put through their paces every Thursday at open training sessions between now and the new season.
It will be the first time that supporters have had the opportunity to see new recruits like Chris Tuson and Jordan Thompson in action, whilst fellow signings Mickey Paea and Feka Paleaaesina are also due to link-up with their new teammates in the near future.
Pass holders can gain entry to the training facility by presenting their 2014 TEAMCARD, ClubHull card or 2014 Season Pass receipt, with fans asked to monitor the club’s social media channels for details of scheduled field sessions each Thursday.

Tomorrow's field session open to supporters will commence at 1pm.'"

Because 90% of the time he will start from the bench, and I'm happy with that, his versatility is his strength (apart from his obvious Superhero qualities) and for me he starts from the bench every time to give us cover / options during the game.
