Glad i got rid of sky a while ago just to much to pay these days so now i stream the games from a website and has all the Sky games, NRL games, Darts, Football and other sports.

I got rid of Sky in January and I haven't missed it a bit. My Netflix subscription covers my regular viewing and I watch any games I want to see at the pub or my dad's house. Murdoch can suck my balls.

I dumped Sky Sports and HD last year and am saving around £30 a month.

Like RG, I don't really miss it and I can get to see any televised games elsewhere if I want to.

Sky isn't expensive if you use it, I bet people spend more on beer, cigs and takeaways in a month than they do on Sky.

Not so sure of that, they are not legally allowed to provide the service in the UK so if you have a UK billing address they might not be able to sell it to you.

That said I am sure there are ways around it with a bit of googling, Its peeked my interest so I'm going to have a look. My sky bill is already 65 a month and its annoying that a large chunk of that goes to namby pamby football millionaires.

Don't know why anyone pays full price for sky. I've had sky for about 6 six years now, and barring he initial 12 month contract I've probably paid about six months at full price. All it takes is quick phone call to them threaten to cancel cos you can't afford it. We're 2 months in to a 12 month half price deal, £27 for the full package without HD. A couple of years ago the bloke at sky even told us what to do after a deal had finished, pay one month at full price, and give them a ring back and say you can't afford it, and every time they've offered me a deal!

I was actually speaking to Sky earlier this week (I got another half price deal).

They told me that they couldn't confirm but for combined packages the prices may actually be reducing in reaction to the BT Sports stuff. That article may be a little misleading as the 10% is on the base package which is increasing by £2.
