It's not just these two young lads as well. SURELY by now Mcnamara has to wake up and release that Houghton is the best hooker in the league. I know Roby has been injured, but for christ sake, Mcilorum is not half the player That Houghton is. He's just a nut job that would probably get sent off in a big international game.

fair points but hall is the best winger we have so would be my first choice straight away.

I would say cudjoe and mcgilvary and goulding and charnley are a pretty good pairing too at the moment.
Briscoe does seem to have gone off the boil a bit, but again, has proved his worth in and England shirt and would probably my 2nd choice for a wing spot.

again, have been impressed with Houghton for a while now and I think he would deserve a call up.
however if we are talking best hooker in the league then I would disagree and say lunt, and not just because he plays for us, he proved last year at leeds how influential he can be.
Houghton,roby,lunt mcilorum? all 4 are very good on their day.

watkins unfortunate injury ,might have opened the door for someone else. given that atkins and cudjoe will be in the england squad, there is a place for another centre or 2. crooks could well be in if he keeps his form going

This. As great as both are playing, getting bulldozed by massive Aussie three quarters at a young age isn't helpful or necessary.

having them together in the Knights would be good, they'd learn a lot and keep their partnership growing, they're both brilliant players but as a pairing they are greater than the sum of their parts IMO.

They look for all the world like future England/GB internationals but they are both raw and still learning. England Knights will be a good marker for them this season.
