Glad this has been sorted, the club needed to move on from this. Can someone clarify the salary cap implications? thought the cap was now "live" so as he's no longer employed by the club does his salary count?

He's on about the signings made for the start of the 2012 season. Wade McKinnon, Brett Seymour and Aaron Heremeia. O'Meley was here long before that.

I'd heard this was dealt with by our insurance company on the grounds of him not being fit to play.

If this was the case would any payoff count ??

Shame it's ended like this but best for all concerned I think. From Seymour's point of view he can concentrate on getting himself well again and from the clubs point of view this allows us to move forward (although like many of you I'm unclear what implication this has salary cap wise).

I for one wish Brett all the best in the future.

This was the only outcome imo.. Brett was never going to play for us again and now he can concentrate on getting himself fit and his family.
