| I remember when a lot of posters used to call the club for using a quota spot on a squad player and say that's what our academy players are for.

| Nope, says volumes that only Salford came up with a contract.
Oh, and he hasn't featured in the last 3 - 4 games either.

| He's probably available again now Salford have Gaskell. Goldie and Aspinwall were both settled here and went OK much to my surprise last year. Fair enough , get rid if we can get better to replace them but we didn't. We just got more ordinary and disrupted things and we could really do with their aggression and , in McGoldrick's case spark , at the moment. Sad but true.

| Yes, we should have kept McGoldrick. Our poor run of form last mid-season ended on the injection of him into the team, and funnily enough our good patch waned again after his shoulder injury. While not the greatest player his mental attitude altered the mindset in the team imo.
The Dobson brown-pants incident alone should have earned him a place this year

| Yes!! Admit I wasn't over the moon when we signed him but was very happy to be proved wrong. He and Aspinwall both did enough to earn new contracts IMO.

| Wasn't it a catch 22 situation though? We had a full quota with McGoldrick (I think) and we were genuinely seeking out an Aussie halfback to come in. Now it would not have been fair to Goldie to say look, we will keep you if nobody comes in.

| His shoulder injury looked a bad one. If he'd been re-signed people would have moaned about signing another ageing injury prone utility player. Unlike many, I always rated him , so would have kept him, but the club did what they thought best at the time.

| Quick question, without hindsight how many of you would have slaughtered the club for lack of ambition etc if they had announced him as a signing preseason. Filled a gap last year but you wanted much more preseason.

In all honesty, I wanted his new contract as soon as it looked likely his career wasn't over. I kept checking his Twitter-Twatter thing for news. Bit sad, that last bit, I know.

| We have lost our creative players that has taken a large lump out of the cap. Sh-t happens and We have to go with what players we have got .We can all say Hull should have done this and that .Even the youngsters that were back up have pick up injuries.Let hope we get bodies back quick

| Personally we should have given him a contract.
Hinsight = definetly.
Future- if we don't use the remainder of the cp to pick somebody up- definetly again.
But maybe something might happen (fingers crossed)
