I assume that's directed at me, I'm happy for genuine and deserved criticism of the event, there have been some errors, but on the whole it has been magnificent.

I`m a rugby league fan in england. ive had to listen to those jibes all my life. never spat my dummy out though. people like what they like.
Before this turns into me looking like an anti-olympics moron
i watch pretty much as much as i could the first week (off work) and really got into it, cheered every medal with as much gusto as when hull win. i even watced the equestrian with the cross country a favorite.
The cycling for we was the highlight. unfortunately everything since has been a bit tedious and i have stopped watching. i apologise and will as ukba if i can be deported with mr chase

| Quote rover49="rover49"What about the dressage !!!!
I cannot wait for the 'legacy' after the games when all the travelling friend's start up riding schools( with all the tethered horse around Hull) in East Park and Pearson Park to encourage 'ordinary' kids into the sport.'"
The lass who's just won the Individual Dressage Gold was born in Enfield and educated at a Comprehensive school - which she left at 16 to work in stables so that she could get lessons and compete. Not exactly the stereotypical equestrian type and she's reached the pinnacle of the sport. Maybe she just might inspire some 'ordinary' kids after all.

| I am not too proud to admit i had virtually no interest in the run up to the games. The torch relay did nothing for me when divs like Will.i.am were carrying it and tweeting at the same time.
However, since the amazing and i mean amazing, opening ceremony the games have been an absolute triumph. The amount of people at work who are usually not even remotely interested in sport that are all of a sudden experts in the pommell horse, track cycling and equestrianism is mind-boggling. I dont want it to end!

| The double trap shooting guy has should feel very hard done to, got pretty much nil coverage.
The Olympics have been utterly fantastic. Very much hope Mo can do the double. In bits on Saturday night.

matches the funding he was given, I think he's a bit "inconvenient" for the BBC and LOCOG in all honesty.

| I have really enjoyed the sport at the Olympics, as I always do.
It is great that we have had a lot of success, although we also did well at Beijing.
Tbh, I don’t give a hoot where it is held, Beijing, London, Rio or anywhere else.
I didn’t watch the opening ceremony, and I won’t be watching the closing ceremony. I think the torch relay is and was a farce as is everything else apart from the actual sporting events (excluding football and tennis)

I'm interested, why was the relay a farce in your opinion?

| Every single part of the olympics that I have seen has been first class just a shame ive had to work and found out results before ive got home on a few events.. Ive found myself watching sports that I would never usually watch like hockey , archery . The womens football and boxing have really suprised me by how high the standard has been ( the missus has been telling me the women are showing us how its done )
Cant wait for the diving , all the relays and usain bolt in the 200
