Sunday is our 17th game of the season and it'll be the fifth time Ganson has been the referee. Current record is W1 D1 L2.

Actually out of the seventeen games, either Ganson or Alibert will have been the referee nine times.

So he's officiated over 29% of our games, but has overseen 50% of the points we have dropped.

Obviously means nothing but interesting all the same!

My first thought was also about the disproportionate amount of times the same refs take charge of games with the same teams. There are 7 refs, right? Surely it can be worked better so that there is a more even spread, no team should be having the same ref for more than a 1/4 of their games IMO, and certainly not half of their games being ruled over by only 2 refs.

Also, I don't entirely agree with Referees being given the return fixtures of match-ups they've already officiated in the same season.

Alibert 4 (W2 D1 L1) - including Hudds in the cup

Bentham 2 (W1 L1)
Child 2 (W1 L1)
Thaler 1 (W1)
Thomason 1 (W1)

Obviously there's an understandable anomaly with Bentham, but IMO that should not be so skewed with 2 refs taking charge of so many of our games. And it's not a pleading the victim thing, presumably there are some sides who have had Thaler and Thomason too often too (Rovers for Thaler?). It shouldn't be that way.

Seems barmy to me that in sixteen SL games we get Ganson five times but Thaler only once.
