He should have sacked Cooper for failing to properly check the supplement and thrown Gleeson on the mercy of the UKDA panel. Worst case would have been a similar length ban for Gleeson.

The irony is that nobody actually set out to break any rules to begin with. I actually feel sorry for Gleeson as he was given incorrect advice - albeit second hand - and didn't think he was doing anything wrong.

He still gave it to Gleeson when it is not his job to do so.

Nothing wrong with taking supplements that don't contain MHA but have a similar effect. In fact, it says in the report that the clubs supplement provider have a similar thing, but Hull didn't have any in stock at the time.

How on earth did some of you believe he had off field medical problems, well suppose he kind of did and now its out in the open.

Long DID do something wrong - he was using a banned substance which he hadn't checked out, then gave it to his mate which has resulted in him losing his job.

Feel very sorry for Glees though - clearly not the brightest and it's cost him throughout his career.

Its quite scary that one persons advice can potentially ruin one or more careers. What if he had (did?) give the same advice to any number of players? Perhaps clubs should put in place a second opinion to cover themselves even if that's someone at the RFL, external practice or even another club.

So does this mean that Sean Long was also using OxiElite Pro after he was given the OK from Cooper??

It certainly seems that way, why else would he ask Cooper about it if not.
