I may be in a minority but I have no ill feelings towards Richard Agar as a person nor as a coach.

I believe it was right to give him his chance but after less than 2 seasons it should have been obvious to the Board at the time that he was just not up to the job as Head Coach of a club with the off field potential to be top 4 and challenging for honours.

To renew and extend his contract last season was an act of folly and sadly has proved to be just that.

Nonetheless I wish him well in his new role at Wakefield and look forward to a much more successful era for Hull FC.

maybe if the club had accepted his resignation when he offered it then it wouldnt have come to this would it,onwards and upwards now, hes no longer our problem.

By offering his resignation he's offered the board an easy option, that's all. If he really felt that way he could have just quit.

The board were part of the problem anyway. If he'd have walked then the club would have only appointed someone with equal stature.

Good riddance, lets just hope some of the players realise as well that Agar does not ask them to play like cretins and drop easy passes.

Correct. I think if he'd gone then, we'd have been saddled with McNamara on a 3 year deal as Kath was a big fan of his. As it's turned out, keeping Agar until Pearson took over worked out quite well.

not sad to see him go but not going to call him either, the past board are just as accountable for the clubs onfield failures since 2006 as much as agar
