David Mead's try was an outstanding piece of individual skill but for a great team try there's few better than the 'miracle' try scored after the hooter had gone that won Queensland the game in a 1994 state of origin match.

Both were outstanding tries. Johnson has pace to burn and great balance.

Fosters try when he caught the ball behind his back was a far better finish than Meads as he actually knew and meant to do what he did.

We had a coloured winger , played for Leeds when we were relegated. He scored 2 amazing full length tries at Doncaster about 15 years ago ish ? McNamara was still playing for us . He was fast as hell. Name evades me ?

It was a quality pick up at that speed but its not the best try that ive seen,

Couple of seasons back Thomas Bosc scored an amazing try. Chipped the defensive line, picked up the ball, then chipped the fullback, regained the ball and went in under the sticks.

I don't really remember it as I was 12 or 13 but my auntie who worked in the old clubhouse bar at the time used to take me to the away games & still says it was one of the best tries she's ever seen. I know we were a bit excited at the time



The mead's one is not much to do with skill, great effort to be in the right place but huge amounts of luck with the ball bouncing into his hand perfectly. looks spectacular obviously but not much skill IMHO.
